Tom Crawshaw has been building automations for 9 years with $25 million in client revenue to his name. He just walked me through his Claude Code content system that's generating millions of views and tens of thousands of followers. Here's what I learned: 1. Skills beat Projects in Claude. Projects load every context file on every message and burn your token window. Skills work like a book where the LLM reads the table of contents and pulls only the chapter it needs for the job. Same context, fraction of the tokens. 2. He has a /content-create slash command that runs the entire pipeline. Voice profile, copywriting principles, hook generation, image direction. One command. He doesn't write anything from scratch anymore. 3. His voice profile auto-updates weekly. He wrote a script that hits the X API every 7 days, pulls his top-performing posts by engagement, and rewrites his voice profile based on what's actually working. The profile evolves on its own. 4. He distilled a master copywriter's entire body of work into a single markdown file. Grabbed every Alen Sultanic post he could find, dropped it into Claude, asked for the core principles, fed it into the skill. Now every post he writes runs through those principles automatically. 5. The hook generator scores 16 hooks per post against 7 criteria. Curiosity loops, specificity, sensory, credibility, voice match, and a couple of others. He never picks the #1 by default. Sometimes he splices the first line of one hook with the body of another. The taste is still his. 6. /insights is a native Claude Code command nobody talks about. It analyzes every session you've ever run and produces a full report on your usage patterns, where things break down, and prompts you can paste back into Claude to fix them. I had never heard of it. I'm running it tonight. 7. He spends most of his time on hooks and images. If those two suck, the body copy doesn't matter. Nobody reads it. 8. Image generation is never one-shot. He keeps a folder of reference images that have worked before and feeds them into Nano Banana/GPT Image 2 every time. Then he takes the 80-90% output and finishes it in Canva using "magic grab" to move logos and clean up text. Last mile is human every time. 9. The humanizer step is non-negotiable. Strip em dashes. Kill the "it's not X, it's Y" pattern. Cut the triple negatives. Cut "no fluff." He still has to remind Claude mid-session because it drifts. If you're not auditing for AI tells, you're shipping slop. 10. Wisprflow is the most important tool in his stack. Not a content tool. An everything tool. His test for whether you should be using it: do you talk faster than you type? You do. Everyone does. Bonus fact he dropped: QWERTY was designed 200 years ago to slow typing down so old typewriters wouldn't jam. We've been carrying that forward ever since. Voice is finally undoing it. A little look behind the scenes: Many of you asked how I handle switching from SwiftData & CloudKit to Firebase and a different way of sharing entries with your friends. Previously, there was no need to create an account and the app just used the user's iCloud ID in the background to "sign up". Why did I do this? SwiftData is really nice to use but after working with it for over a year now, it feels still quite unstable, buggy and errors are super hard to track. Same goes for CloudKit and the CloudKit sharing that I implemented. For a growing app, in my opinion, it's just not feasible to use because errors happen regularly, you don't really know if the data is stored (and shared) correctly and the documentation on CK is just bad. I have big plans for this app (reacting to your friends' entries, Apple Health integration, tagging multiple friends in entries etc.) and all of it is now much simpler - and faster to build. The Migration part When an existing user starts the app, a little migration sheet with a couple of steps opens which can't be dismissed. The goal is that the user maintains all entries and can use the app like before :) Steps: 1) Create an Account using Apple Sign In and Firebase Auth 2) Migrate your user profile (profile picture etc.) and all your friends from SwiftData to Firestore. Here I basically iterate over all the data that is there, run a custom conversion for all the fields (some things need to be stored differently) and save them. Profile Images are now saved in Firebase Storage 3) Migrate all entries to Firestore the same way. Images and Voice Notes are now saved in Firebase Storage (that might take a bit of time, video is sped up) 4) After that, migration is basically done and the user can use the app like before. In the settings, the user can now log out or delete the account, things that weren't possible before. If for any reason the migration has to be done again, this can be triggered from the settings as well. How do I decide if a user needs to migrate? Previously, I saved the user's profile in SwiftData under a specific key (simplified). If the app finds something under this key, user is prompted for a migration. New users don't have to run through the migration. They simply start fresh with the Apple Sign in in the onboarding like seen in the referenced post. How does sharing entries now work? For sharing, I create deeplinks using branch . io now. These links basically work like every other Invite Link you've received or created. The friend opens the link, can accept your invitation and now both of you are connected as buddies. Previously using CloudKit Sharing, this process took two steps - each user had to share a link to give access to their entries. The process now is much simpler and better understand for the user. Developing the migration Tbh I thought this would be way quicker. In the end it was > 100 commits since I had to basically change every screen in the app. Working with SwiftData is quite different to how things work with Firebase (and most other frameworks), so every interaction where data was involved had to be reworked. Now the app runs on a combination of Firestore, Cloud Functions and Firebase Storage. In terms of memory, the app feels notably faster and only needs around 1/4 of the memory bandwidth it needed before. Let's see if it will be worth it! All in all super happy with the new flexibility for the app and not being limited by the technology anymore 👀

I have had about 24 hours to collect my thoughts on the fact that Charleston White placed me in his followers’ crosshairs in his last interview. I watched the entire video and was shocked at some of the words that came out of his mouth, allegedly information fed to him by Drew Anthony, Karmelo Anthony’s father. He smeared the Metcalf family and told lie after lie. But he also, once again, placed a target on my back, just like Dominique Alexander did. In JumpSuitPablo’s latest podcast on YouTube, he goes over Charleston White’s words. White created an entire fake narrative in the video, a self-defense narrative that I know came straight from Drew Anthony, because these are the same exact words Drew would spew at me on Facebook Messenger for days on end. Every time I released new information, documents, or records, Drew would message me, accusing me of harassment. White said, “Whoever Sarah Fields is, you’re a rotten motherf*cker. And if I had an army to put behind this family, I would.” He also said that “he (Karmelo) should have killed both of them.” These are the people the Metcalf family and I have been dealing with since the beginning of April. Please listen to this clip. JumpSuitPablo reads off a threatening comment toward me. It’s not for the faint of heart. I have never cried while listening to a podcast before, but JumpSuitPablo’s kind words were deeply appreciated. He said, “I stand with Sarah Fields. Let’s protect Sarah Fields.” His words shine brightly for me and my family right now. I stand with the Metcalf family. I stand with Austin. And I will never stop being a voice for Austin. Why is Warren Buffett's writing so popular? He's built a career out of writing annual letters that are read by millions of people every year. Here's how his writing differs from other investors: 1. You can stand out in the business world by writing like an actual human being. 2. Don't just write about ideas. Joke around. So goes Buffett's famous line: "It's only when the tide goes out that you find out who's been swimming naked." 3. Write to a specific person, not a faceless group of masses. Legend has it that Buffett addresses the early drafts of his annual letters to his sister (Dorothy) and replaces her name with 'Shareholders' once he's done with it. 4. You can differentiate yourself simply by writing with a different voice. Buffett tries to come across as a folky, hokey, aw-shucks kind of guy who's nothing like the kind of Suit Guy you'd find in Midtown Manhattan. 5. Read things that other people aren't willing to read. Historically, part of Buffett's edge is that he was obsessively reading 10-K filings before they were as accessible as they are now. 6. What's another example of Buffett doing things that others weren't willing to do? Friends tell me he used to call managers at various companies and get them to disclose their business plans, back when this was legal. 7. Deadlines are your nemesis in the moment, but your friend in retrospect. Buffett has no choice but to produce an annual letter every year, and those annual deadlines have made him a prolific writer. 8. Share your wisdom freely. You don't need to share all of it, but it can help to share some of it. 9. Don't just share ideas. Name them. 10. What's an example of naming your ideas? In business, it's common knowledge that a company's success can compound. For example, it'll take 12 years for a company to reach $1 billion in revenue but only one more to reach $2 billion. Scale leads to more scale. Buffett calls this "The Snowball Effect." 11. You don’t need to write much to have outsized success. Warren Buffett (and Jeff Bezos) have built their reputations by writing one excellent letter to shareholders every year. 12. If you're early in your career and don't know where to begin, start writing. Buffett attracted some of his early investors by publishing his ideas. His mentor, Ben Graham, did the same thing. He wrote two best-selling books on his way to getting rich by investing in Geico early. 13. Writing is a BS detector for your ideas. Buffett once said: "Some of the things I think I think, I find don’t make any sense when I start trying to write them down." 14. Oh, and one more thing: Maybe you should drink more Diet Coke?!? I'm up late with the rest of you building AI agents with the new AI browser from Genspark. We can see where this is all going: a new kind of operating system -- one that is very different than the Microsoft centric way that I've been working for 20 years. There are several things that these new agentic browsers bring to you: 1. They let you change how you browse. With an old browser like Google Chrome, you go to your email, Facebook, or X. 2. With these new browsers, you tell it where to go and what to do for you. 3. It can even build software for you. At the end of this video, I have it building me a little YouTube uploading utility, which is very helpful. 4. They have a ton of "applications" built in. Think of it as a new kind of office suite. Docs. Spreadsheets. Slide decks. And much more. All built with AI, not bolted on the side like with Microsoft's Office. 5. They have AI models built "underneath" so you can work privately and cheaply. There’s a lot of new choices you have to make with browsers like this. I’ve been playing with a bunch of them. Some have better user interfaces than others. Some have different versions, slide components, or applications. The reason I like Genspark is because they ship so fast. I’ve been watching this company since its very beginnings, and every week they ship new things. Just yesterday, they shipped a new photo editing feature for my iPhone. I upload a photo and then I can just talk to it and edit it with my voice. It's really cool. I try to reward companies that ship at such a fast rate and that are shipping innovation that improves our lives. It's not that I'm going to stop using Google Chrome. My whole life has been there for, I don't know, almost 20 years now. This is a different way of working and it gives me a space to run my AI tasks that's different than Google Chrome. I run them side by side. One doing old stuff, one doing new stuff. I can keep using Google Chrome for my old stuff, like my email and my calendar. And I use GenSpark or one of the new AI browsers to do new AI-centric things. All sorts of new things that these new agentic browsers open up! Have you tried it, or one of the other new ones yet? I run them side by side. One doing old stuff, one doing new stuff. I can keep using Google Chrome for my old stuff, like my email and my calendar. And I use GenSpark or one of the new AI browsers to do new AI-centric things. All sorts of new things that these new agentic browsers open up! Have you tried it, or one of the other new ones yet? VEO 2 by Google DeepMind : MY CHEAT SHEET Alright, so after 500h-ish spent on VEO and giving birth to both "Kitsune" and "Banished", tons of people asked for a making-of. Instead, I decided to give you what I actually know of VEO 2 to this day. Please share! it's made to be spread around! 1/ If you're not using a LLM (Gemini, ChatGPT, whatever), you're doing it wrong. VEO 2 currently has a sweet spot when it comes to prompt length: too short is poor, too long drops information, action, description etc. I did a lot of back and forth to find my sweet spot, but once I got in a place I thought felt right, I used a LLM to help me keep my structure, length, and help me draft actions. I would then spent an extensive amount of time tweaking, iterating, removing words, changing order, adding others, but the draft would come from a LLM and a conversation I built and trained to understand what my structure looked like, what was a success, or a failure. I would also share the prompts working well for further reference, and sharing the failures also for further reference. This would ensure my LLM conversation became a true companion. 2/ Structure, structure, structure Structure is important. Each recipe is different but same as any GenAI text-to something, it looks like the "higher on the prompt has more weight" rule applies. So, in my case I would start by describing the aesthetics I am looking for, time of day, colors, mood, then move to camera, subject, action, and all the rest. Once again, you might have a different experience but what is important is to stick to whatever structure you have as you move forward. Keeping it organized also makes it easier to edit later. 3/ Only describe what you see in the frame If you have a character you want to keep consistent, but you want a close-up on the face for example, your reflex will be to describe the character from head to toe and then mention you want a close-up...It's not that simple. If I tell VEO I want a face close-up but then proceed to describe the character's feet, the close-up mention will be dropped by VEO... Once again, the LLM can help you in this by giving it the instruction to only describe what is in the frame. 4/ Patience Well, it can get costly to be patient, but even if you repeat the same structure, sometimes changing one word can still throw the entire thing out and totally change the aesthetics of your scene. It is by nature extremely consistent if you conserve most words, but sometimes it happens. In those situations, trace your steps back and try to figure out which words are triggering a larger change. 5/ Documenting When I started "Kitsune" (and did the same for all others), the first thing I did was start a Figjam file so I could save the successful prompts and come back to them for future reference. Why Figjam? So I could also upload 1 to 4 generations from this prompt, and browse through them in the future. 6/ VEO is the Midjourney of video Currently, no text-to-video tool (Minimax being the closest behind) gave me a feeling I could provide strong art directions and actually get them. I have been a designer for nearly 20 years, and art direction to me has been one of the strongest foundations of most of my work. Dark, light, happy, sad, colorful or not, it doesn't matter as long as you have a point of view and please...have a point of view. Recently watched a great video about the slow death of art direction in film (link in comments) and oh boy, did VEO 2 deliver on giving me the feeling I was listened. Try starting your prompts with different kinds of medium (watercolor for example), the mood you are trying to achieve, the kind of lighting you want, the dust in the rays of light, etc... which gets me to the next one 7/ You can direct your colors in VEO It's as simple as mentioning the hues you want to have in the final result, in which quantity, and where. When I direct shots, I am constantly describing colors for two reasons: 1. Well, having a point of view and 2. reaching better consistency through text-to-video. If I have a strong and consistent mood but my character is slightly different because of text-to-video, the impact won't be dramatic because a strong art direction helps a lot with consistency. 8/ Describe your life away Some people asked me how I achieved a good consistency between shots knowing it's only text-to-video and the answer is simple: I describe my characters, their unique traits, their clothing, their haircut, etc..anything which could help someone visually impaired have a very precise mental representation of the subject. 9/ But don't describe too much either... It would be magical if you could stuff 3000 words in the window and have exactly what you asked for, right? Well, it turns out VEO is amazing with its prompt adherence, but there is always a moment where it starts dropping animations or visual elements when your prompt stretches for a tad too long. This actually happens way before the character limit allowed by VEO is reached, so don't overdo it, it's no use and will play against the results. For info, 200-250 words seems like a sweet spot! 10/ Natural movements but... VEO is great with natural movements and this is also one of the reasons why I used it so extensively: people walking don't walk in slow-motion. That being said, don't try to be too ambitious on some of the expected movements: multiple camera movements won't work, full 360 revolutions around a subject won't work, anime-style crazy camera movements won't work, etc... what it can do is already great, but there are still some limitations...

Anger, grief, & resentment are heavy burdens to bear, & no matter how bad you want to strike back, remember no one can strike as hard as Jesus himself. Give it to Him, & let it go. Life is much lighter & happier this way. Feel it. Ephesians 5:1-2 "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." Lord Jesus, I’m standing here this morning because You gave me breath, You gave me strength, You gave me another shot to walk this path & honor You, so first I want to thank You. Lord, one of my brothers just welcomed a grandson into this world. He came six weeks early, but he’s here. That’s testimony to Your miracle. Now I’m asking You to put Your hand on that child, cover him with Your protection, let his little body grow strong, let every beat of his heart be steady, every breath be full, & let him live out the destiny You already have for him. Lord, I know some of us woke up with heavy hearts, dealing with loss, sorrow, & confusion weighing us down. We’re laying it all at Your feet right now. Give peace where there’s pain. Give comfort where there’s emptiness. Replace the hurt with love, & replace the doubt with faith.
