First Labor said it wasn’t a crisis, now they’re stealing One Nation policies to try and fix it. The fuel crisis has been created by decades of the net-zero obsession destroying the ability to use our own resources. Labor’s fix, to halve the fuel excise, doesn’t go far enough. It needs to be removed completely for the next three months. Most importantly of all, we need to ditch the net-zero obsession which is only making us more reliant on other countries for our basic fuel and food needs.

In this interview with Chris Kenny on Sky News, I laid it out plainly: Australia’s housing crisis won’t be fixed until we slash immigration. Labor has brought in more than one million people, hundreds of thousands above what they forecast. The result? Rents are soaring, first-home buyers are being locked out, and our roads, hospitals and schools are under pressure like never before. It’s simple: more people means more demand. And Labor keeps pouring fuel on the fire. I’ve been clear, we need a hard reset. That means cutting immigration to net-negative levels. It means deporting the 75,000 illegal migrants who are taking up homes and hospital beds meant for Australians. Labor has fumbled the delivery of tax cuts. Instead of delivering real relief, they went with a lazy tax tweak that barely moves the needle. I would’ve used that $17 billion to slash fuel tax by 26.5 cents a litre! That helps everyone, families, pensioners, farmers, truckies. Cheaper fuel means cheaper freight. That brings down prices across the board, from the bowser to the grocery aisle. It also lowers inflation, which means cheaper mortgages. And the $4.5 billion National Indigenous Australians Agency? Scrap it. Australians voted No to the Voice. Here's what the Government should be doing in this fuel crisis: Trigger the Liquid Fuel Emergency Act 1984 to force fuel supplies into the regions and stop the price gouging by Big Oil. Start precautionary rationing so priority supplies for hospitals, emergency services, defence and food production can be saved if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Cut the fuel excise by 100% for 3 months and/or remove GST on fuel which is a tax on a tax. This will give immediate relief to Australians. Finally, ditch net-zero so we can drill Australia's own oil, rebuild refineries and never get into this situation again. It's time for the government to step up and demonstrate they actually have a plan. If the government doesn't want panic then they need to lead. One Nation is happy to show them what to do.

Our focus remains on staying ahead of the potential risks to New Zealand and minimising the impacts on inflation and growth in our economy. That means ensuring we continue to secure the fuel we need to protect Kiwi jobs, livelihoods and the wider economy. The fuel update today shows that New Zealand continues to have sufficient fuel stocks in the country and there is more on the way. Fuel importers have not reported any issues with future orders or shipments. And therefore, we remain at Phase 1 of our National Fuel Response Plan.

In a Democratic Nation there is supposed to be a separation of power between Government & Police. If police are entirely controlled by the government, the ruling party could direct them to target political rivals or ignore crimes committed by government officials. This is EXACTLY what is happening in Communist Victoria under the LABOR Government. The Chief Police Commissioner isn’t even allowed to meet with the Shadow Government unless Labor Ministers are present to monitor what is said. Anyone that believes that The Labor regime will just stand aside & allow any other Party to take power in Victoria is kidding themselves. They are a corrupt tyrannical Regime that has infiltrated EVERYTHING in Victoria. They have weaponised our Police force against Australians & their opposition. Police & institutions originally created to protect citizens now only protect Labor & cover up Labor’s crimes.

Why is this government giving with the right hand then take away using the left? You can't say you have reduced taxes on fuel then increase the cost of the same fuel.
