Closed, you read that correctly. Mernda Police Station - like many around Victoria - should be open 24 hours a day, but it is shut. Labor can’t afford to staff it. They’ve spent all your money, and now they can’t fund the Police - leaving you less safe. We will fix it. Only the Liberals & Nationals will fix the budget, stop the waste, and get more police on the street and more stations open to keep us safe.

As a father of daughters, any incident at a shopping centre sends chills down my spine. Today, I spoke to A Current Affair about violent crime in shopping centres, which is up 22% under Labor. Only the Liberals and Nationals have a plan to crack down on machetes, bring in tougher bail laws, and invest in crime prevention to make our streets and communities safe.

Greg Abbott is trafficking ex-offenders onto our streets. Many who are homeless were offloaded there by private prisons. The private prisons are run by Greg Abbott’s donors and they get contracts with the state. Private prisons move inmates into our communities and release them onto our streets where they know no one. They are set up to fail, then the private prisons make more money when they reoffend. It's a vicious cycle that puts Texans in danger.
