Saw this from a teacher ‘I can point out that in the spring term we had x cases of chickenpox, x cases of covid, x cases of d&v and 1 child undergoing ongoing treatment for cancer and the DfE and Ofsted will tell us we should have done more to make those children come to school,”

Why is it impossible for you to acknowledge that you have inherited sharply rising standards in the English education system driven by the @Conservatives focus on academic rigour? Please don’t mess this up in your dash to please the unions and soften-up the curriculum.
