Labour has NOT dropped its Islamophobia definition. Ministers are refusing to publish their advice so that it can be scrutinised. This process cannot continue in secret. They must let the public see the draft definition before they decide whether to adopt it.

A year ago Keir Starmer was asked to introduce a blasphemy law. He didn't say no. Today he said he wouldn't introduce a blasphemy law through an Islamophobia definition. But we know his Government has been working on one for MONTHS and they are refusing to let the public see it - despite inviting left-wing activist groups to provide feedback. They must publish the definition BEFORE a decision is made so that we can all scrutinise the definition and the impact it will have on freedom of speech.

This is not the first red flag: • Stacked working group - no real dissenting voices • Tightly restricted consultation • Clear conflict of interest on funding • Final recommendations kept secret Now the receipts are gone. Under Section 77 of the FOI Act, deliberately destroying records after a request to prevent disclosure is a criminal offence. Misconduct in public office also exists for serious abuse of trust. Whether this crosses that line is for investigators to decide. But the pattern is clear: stacked process, secrecy, then deleted evidence. A definition they want schools, police and organisations to adopt…and we can’t properly examine how it was made.

You must understand, these are not ordinary circumstances. Trump and his team not only have to do everything by the book, but they also have to win the court of public opinion. If we are going to arrest the traitors, the public must understand why BEFORE it happens. The public must be shown, repeatedly, until the reality registers and stays in their brains. Not once or twice, over and over again, to the point that they never forget it and have no doubt. It must be so convincing and incontrovertible, that it awakens them from their deep slumber. The bodies of our #Kuki_Zo brothers and sisters have finally been given to us today after about 8 months. I don't know whether I'm sad & pained today, or whether I'm glad. It's very difficult to comprehend my feelings right now, Whether the tears that are forming are for sadness or are for gladness, knowing what must be going through the family of their loved ones, what they must be thinking, what they must be doing. How angry they must be feeling. How sad they must be feeling. How helpless they must be feeling. I know the pain that helplessness of losing someone when I lost my dad. So, I know very well what must be going through their minds. All I can say for sure is, let their sacrifices and their pain, and your pain not go in vain. It just cannot. See you all on the other side and say hello to my Dad as well. Rest in peace brave ones. 🙏🙏🙏 #Manipur
