@drdavidbull He finds it horrifying that people will work the SAME number of hours over four rather than five days? It’s called compressed hours and it’s been around for decades. Lots of other workplaces have longer shifts. It can be an excellent recruitment and retainment tool.

@drdavidbull Of course you do David, but the millions who will benefit from it won’t! 😉

@drdavidbull More lies, it's called compressed hours. Same as a 5 day week in hours, just worked over 4 days. More nonsense from Talk TV or whatever it calls itself these days.

@drdavidbull People work 4 days but longer hours per day than those working for 5 days. Not a big deal & certainly not “horrifying” !

@drdavidbull Public sector / councils - working shorter weeks….shock

@drdavidbull The public sector should join the real world and try doing a 5 day week and sometimes a 6 day week.

@drdavidbull My husband’s just said ‘they don’t fvcking work now. So what’s different’?

@drdavidbull I really don't like Labour at all.... but I can understand how a 4 day week could benefit some people- especially if they have a very physical job, are older, or just want to have a better work/life balance 🤔

@drdavidbull As a example my experience in dealing with Ashford Council I believe with a shorter working week is a recipe for incompetence. Which causes more expense and stops growth

@drdavidbull We have 2 people in my team who already do this. They only work 4 days but do longer days on the days they do work. I did it years ago for a bit and it didn't work for me then but would be happy to try again
