Labour MPs just killed an amendment that would have forced a government inquiry into child sexual exploitation. I said it then, and I’ll say it again now. I will never vote Labour.

I cannot tell you how angry I am at this point. Every fibre in me wants revenge.

It was not an amendment to have another Inquiry.

That amendment would’ve meant voting against the Child Wellbeing and School bill, which was up for decision. You KNOW this, but willingly leave out that fact.

It would NOT have forced a government inquiry. The vote did not have that effect. Its only effect would have been to kill the Children’s Wellbeing Bill. A decision on a future inquiry would still have rested with the government which has made it plain it has no intention of doing

So beyond disappointing. These girls need to be heard and need justice. If there is no investigation it just allows the perpetrators to continue. However we know why because this scandal goes right to the top of our society
