This is a win for our farmers and rural communities as we head towards Christmas. Raising the inheritance tax threshold for farmers from £1 million to £2.5 million is a huge step forward, bringing some well-earned reassurance to farming families at this time of year.

As the White Meat Company of Zimbabwe, we have over 1500 farmers registered under our *rabbit farming outgrower program* country-wide. There is not a single one of these farmers that has reported a catastrophic number of rabbit deaths on their farms through any kind of outbreak or disease. For some time, we have heard reports of a possible RHDV virus outbreak in the country, but after carefully observing our farming network for 60 days, we have reached the conclusion that this was a false alarm. We will certainly stay vigilant and report any development of that nature if it arises. Meanwhile, it is business as usual. We believe that this positive position within our outgrower network has everything to do with our high standards of rabbit farming practices. We are big on rabbitry hygiene, and our rabbit houses and state-of-the-art cage systems are designed to maintain very high standards of cuniculture practice.
