Residents around Ikotun Market and Ejigbo Road have stated they are left with no options than to dump refuse on the streets. They complain bitterly over inadequate waste collection by the government, the visible absence of waste collection trucks and the overall blatant incompetence of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) operations in many areas. “Lagos dey smell” patron, Ogbonna, has been caught on camera, illegally dumping a waste on Idimu Road, Alimosho. Investigations conducted by LAWMA Surveillance Team at the suspect's residence showed that his house does not have a designated waste storage facility. Ogbonna could not also provide evidence of registration with the PSP operator responsible for waste management in his area of residence. The suspect will face prosecution under the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017. #CleanerLagos #GreenerLagos
