🚨LAMBETH COUNCIL (AGAIN): Has left this resident living in this state since 2019. Since then his home has fallen to bits, including sewage filling his bath regularly. He said it’s destroying his mental health whilst Lambeth Council don’t seem to care at all. Please share 🙏🏽

A council would (rightly) fine a private landlord up to £30,000 for failing to maintain a property. Yes council tenants seem to have no redress

No one gives a shit. No one wants to help. Contractors are unprofessional and lazy like extremely lazy. They come to fix something and break something else. Feel so bad for that tenant all you want to do is go home after a long day. Not to that.

It's truly disgusting to me that the council expect tenants to pay rent for something like this. Lambeth Council can you really watch this and think that this is acceptable for someone to live in 🤔

That’s shocking 😮..,in such a rich nation to have anyone living in such state sponsored squalor is deplorable. The government (councils) are currently the worst of the rogue landlords

@lambeth_council should be ashamed because they go after landlords for doing exactly this to tenants, under the Fitness for Human Habitation Act 2018. How is the authority getting away with this vile unjust behaviour?

I’d say multiple issues here. Bath pipe leaking or sewage going over overflow or both. Kitchen units must be ripped out, foil backed thermal board added and plastered. Soil stack presume a flat is leaking centrally will need a band seal. Access needed to multiple flats

Great work exposing this scandal ✊ - in the New Year would be good if you can visit your previous expose to see what promises given have actually resolved (or not) the nightmare the residents are living in 🙏

The priorities of @lambethcouncil are simply awful. Their neglect of the borough's most vulnerable is commonplace & not just in housing & repairs. Lambeth seems simply *incapable* of attending to their most basic duties & priorities as a Local Govt. So many are stuck with them.
