🚨Lamine Yamal Breaks Silence on Messi's Strange Behaviour After Ferran Torres' Extra-Time Goal: 🗣️ "The strangest moment I've ever witnessed on a football pitch wasn't the goal—it was Messi's reaction. Matthew McConaughey reveals the three words his dad said that changed his life “I said dad, I don't want to go to law school anymore. I want to go to film school and after about a 5 second pause, he goes, ‘Are you sure that's what you want to do?’ I reply yes sir” “Another long pause. Then I hear, ‘Well, don't halfass it’” “I remember just beaming, hopping up just like Yes! My dad not only said okay. The way he said don't halfass it, it was also, okay. Let's go big boy. Own that shit. Get some leverage. Get some horsepower behind where you're going. Go do it” “I remember to this day and I've learned this later I think from becoming a father, part of what I believe happened to him and why he said that to me that way on that call was the way that I asked him. I wasn't really asking. It was, ‘I don't want to go to law school, Dad. I want to go to film school.’ I didn't stutter. He heard his son saying this is what I want to do” “What I think happened to him in that moment is what I think any father, any parent loves. You raise your kids in a certain way and you give them a guideline, a ladder to climb and here's the guidelines and if you do it this way, you're most likely going to have some success in life and it'll work out for you and then when we do it that way, we can be proud parents” “But what do we really want to happen when our kids are out of the house and they're on their own? We kind of want them to call one day and go, ‘I'm breaking out. I'm going my own way.’ And as a parent, we go, as much as it may scare us, we're going, ‘Yes!’ I gave my kid the confidence and the courage and the foundation to say they're going to go their own way” “In a way, I think every parent honors and loves that moment. I heard my dad, when he didn't hear me stutter, when he heard me directly say what I said. I wasn't really asking him. Even though I was out of respect asking him, the way I said it, I wasn't asking him and I think he felt that” “Don't halfass it”

Jude Bellingham reflects on his clash with Lionel Messi during England’s World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina. 🗣️ “Football is played with emotion, and in a World Cup semi-final I let that emotion get the better of me. I tried to provoke Messi because I thought it might distract him. Looking back now… it was probably the worst decision I made all night.” “We were leading 1-0 and I felt we had control. After our exchange, he didn’t argue back. He didn’t lose his temper. He just looked at me, gave a small nod and walked away. At the time I didn’t think much of it.” “But a few minutes later, I realised exactly what that nod meant.” “It was like he had accepted the challenge. Suddenly every time he touched the ball, something dangerous happened. He stopped forcing things, started controlling the tempo and made the entire game revolve around him. Then came the two assists that completely changed the match.” “I’ll never forget the moment Argentina scored their second goal. I looked over at Messi and remembered that nod. That’s when it hit me. I just stood there thinking, ‘It’s over… he’s done it again.’” “I’ve faced great players before, but I’ve never seen anyone respond to pressure like that. Most players react with anger when you provoke them. Messi reacts with football. That’s what makes him so frightening.” “I regret trying to get into his head because all I did was bring out the very best version of him. We had one foot in the World Cup final, and he ripped that dream away with two moments of pure genius.” “That nod wasn’t frustrationit was confidence. Looking back now, I think Messi already knew something the rest of us didn’t. Once he reached that level, deep down I knew England were in serious trouble.”

Edward Norton tells how Richard Gere told him to use his rent money to buy a guitar and the lesson he learned from that "Probably one of the biggest private guitar collections in the world at the time and he said what do you got" "I said I don't have anything you know and he was like what? we're going guitar shopping" "He took me this place called Voltage Guitars off sunset and I found this 1969 Martin D35 from the year i was born" "It was $1,395 and I was like that was so completely even that wasn't even considerable to me right at the time and Richard he was like" "I like that he goes that's the one and I was like oh man I can't do that and he goes are you taking your per diem and keeping it in an envelope?" "And I said yeah and he goes I'm gonna buy this, you're gonna bring me that envelope of cash tomorrow and give it to me because you only live once" "He was like you're gonna get this guitar" "It sounds silly, it sounds materialist everything, it was a nice thing, it was like him saying like hey you're gonna be fine trust yourself" "He was like this won't be, he said something to me like this won't be your last gig but he also he was like what are you saving it for rent money like get this thing there's gonna be a lot of joy in it" "It's my favorite guitar I've ever bought still and I look at it and I'm like he like launched me into something I can't explain it" Host: "He said that phase of your life is over, walk into your new phase, and walk with your shoulders back" "Yeah it was very.." Host: "I love that, me too like this new phase has abundance"

Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. He was so Alonso…I'm just watching him for a while because I didn't know what else he was going to do. It was just so magical. And then I think he looked up at me and I was like, “Okay, cut, cut.”

WATCH: Jill Biden says she had to walk out of the room after Kamala Harris pressured Joe Biden to endorse her immediately after dropping out of the 2024 presidential race RITA BRAVER: So he decided that it was- he was going to drop out. JILL BIDEN: That’s right. BRAVER: It was Sunday, July 21st, 2024. Before your husband made the announcement. he called Vice President Harris to tell her what he had decided, and you said almost as soon as he gave her the news, she demanded that he endorse her right away, and he- he, I mean, did you think something was off about that? BIDEN: You know, I'm sure she thought about it. You know it wasn't like a call out of the blue. I'm sure with everything happening at that time it had to cross her mind so I think, um, I think that's what- BRAVER: When you said it was back and forth because she wanted him, um, to endorse her at the same time he announced that he was dropping out and he wanted to just make the announcement of the dropout first, right? BIDEN: Oh yeah, sure. BRAVER: And you said you even walked out of the room because it was- got too tense maybe? BIDEN: Well, it was just, I'm telling you, it was so hard. I mean this is what Joe had worked for all his life. He loved being a statesman. Um, he loved the job of helping the American people and to give it up. I mean Rita, he did it for over 50 years of his life. That's a long time. And so at some point when all of this is going on. It gets a little overwhelming, and yes, I had to walk out.

Jony Ive designed the iPhone. The iMac. The MacBook. He asked Steve Jobs to soften his criticism. Jobs: "No. You're just vain. You want people to like you." Jony was furious. Because he knew it was true. He spent 3 minutes explaining what Jobs actually taught him: The first lesson: Focus. "This sounds really simplistic. But it still shocks me how few people actually practice it." "Steve was the most remarkably focused person I've ever met in my life." "Focus is not something you aspire to. It's not something you decide on Monday. 'You know what, I'm going to be focused.'" "It is every minute asking: why are we talking about this? This is what we're working on." "You can achieve so much when you truly focus." The second lesson: What focus actually means. "One of the things Steve would say, because I think he was concerned that I wasn't focused, he would say: how many things have you said no to?" "And I would have these sacrificial things. Because I wanted to be very honest about it." "So I'd say: I said no to this, and no to that." "But he knew I wasn't vaguely interested in doing those things anyway. So there was no real sacrifice." Here's what real focus means. "Saying no to something that with every bone in your body you think is a phenomenal idea." "That you wake up thinking about." "But you say no to it because you're focusing on something else." The third lesson: The difference between caring about people and caring about being liked. Jony asked Jobs why he was so harsh. "Couldn't we moderate the things we said a little bit?" "Why?" "Because I care about the team." Jobs said something brutally insightful. "No Johnny. You're just really vain." "You just want people to like you." "I thought you really held the work up as the most important. Not how you believed you were perceived by other people." "I was terribly cross." "Because I knew he was right."
