But let’s stop pretending nobody is taking advantage of it. On our last flight, there were at least a dozen wheelchairs lined up to board. I have been flying for years, and you used to see one or two. Now, some airport concourses look like wheelchair parking lots. Cruises and cruise lines are the same. All of those people who constantly cry about “cancel culture” are at it again cancelling a company called Liberty Safe. This comes after they spent months trying to cancel Bud Light. These people will say, “but we are justified,” and they are not. That’s not how this works though. People boycott and “cancel” companies and people when they feel there is a justification to do it. How do you feel about Halloween? I know a lot of people treat it as nothing more than costumes and candy, but that’s not how I see it. The dark images, the evil masks, the skeletons, the blood, and the “it’s just for fun” horror have never sat right with me. I’m not against kids having a little fun. If you dress your children in a regular costume , a superhero, an animal, a princess, something innocent , and keep it away from the scary and evil stuff, that’s okay with me. Kids shouldn’t have to carry the weight of all that darkness. They just want to dress up and get treats. I understand that. What I don’t understand is acting like the whole holiday is harmless. On a romantic road trip with my partner Giada, we stopped in Târgu Jiu to admire Constantin Brâncuși’s beautiful monuments. Was this “racist”? New York Governor Kathy Hochul : “Young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is,” I don’t see it as being racist. I don’t think she meant to use the word computer, but in an effort to not hang on the word, she just threw out a word like computer. Saying that a lot of people of a certain race who are less well off in the Bronx don’t have a strong vocabulary isn’t racist in my opinion. It’s pointing out the socioeconomic dynamic of the area and how it impacts education based on race. Her intentions are to make sure these people get a better education. Stop concentrating on the wrong things and start trying to solve the problems.

So it’s over. United States was ranked 16th coming in to World Cup so 2nd Round exit is on par. Final score shows how far US has to go in this sport. Belgium is a world powerhouse. As host US was successful, filled stadiums, people who came here seemed to have fun, they sold a lot of TV commercials. There was a lot of corporate hype and some people believed they were contenders. But the US has reached QF just twice in 96-year history of WC and won’t here in 2026. I would have loved to see them win. Who doesn’t love a winner? This is not a negative post.
