Yep! It's bg/ffxiv/wil_w1/common/vfx/eff/b0412_orb1_y.avfx for the path make sure to set the Start Without Speed to be enabled, otherwise it immediately grows out into a bigger effect (and then I think I lowered the colour value to make it less strong)

Oh I see, I wonder if it can be "summoned" with stagehand too. I don't use brio currently, I got more used to ktisis in the end...Still, good to know.

I haven't tried stagehand yet but if it's able to spawn vfx or paths, I imaaagiine it should work👀

they are, yup! if you're doing your lighting with Brio, they should appear automatically when you enable bone control overlay (the lil eye icon at 0:06)

honestly best thing I can suggest is just giving it a go, think where light might bounce and vibe it out i don't have any formal training and don't know photography techniques, I'm just vibing things out until they look right to me ♥

Well thank you very much for your advice and insight. I'm sure I'll learn with time. I've just never been good with lighting/shading. Also the AMOUNT of lights frightens me. I'd get dizzy going through them all like you just did. >.>

Comparison is the thief of joy. Best way to approach it is to just have fun and go at it at your own pace. Practice makes better!

Are you using point lights, flat lights, or spot lights? how low for the intensity do you go?

Spot lights exclusively! I like to control where my lighting goes and I find that point lights tend to bleed over due to their 360 nature. But I have friends who make excellent gposes with point lights too so really it's just preference

have you ever considered bringing that amount of lighting knowledge into a legit rendering software like blender? very impressive!

thanks! I have thought about it, but I also just find it so fun to see how far I can push gposes without external tools/photoshopping maybe in the far future tho..

I'm quite sure you'll be able to make a pic with more lighting points than stars in the visible universe, the only "little" downside will be the PC temp close to a Supernova xD (Btw, great taste with the Amalee Cover of "Idol" ❤️)

usually anywhere from 30mins to 3hrs! this one I did while inbetween roleplay emotes on another game.. so it was about 2hrs total
