A divulgação pesada de "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" 🚨 Lana Del Rey mandou uma selfie para a promoção do novo single - principalmente no outdoor em LA, na Califórnia. O jeitinho dela é tão 🤏🏻

Lana Del Rey just released a new single "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter," and the haunting intro may sound familiar to any jazz fans. The song pulls from Ella Fitzgerald's 1964 rendition of the jazz standard "Laura." In 1944, David Raskin wrote the song for the film noir 'Laura' after receiving a Dear John letter from his wife. The song became so popular, Raskin had lyricist Johnny Mercer write lyrics for the song and officially titled the track after the movie. Similar to the song it's sampled in "Laura" holds an unsettling quality with lyrics to match: "Laura is the face in the misty light, footsteps that you hear down the hall, The laugh that floats on the summer night that you can never quite recall" The "Laura" in the film also served as one of the inspirations for David Lynch's character Laura Palmer from 'Twin Peaks.' Lana has previously shared that Lynch is a strong source of inspiration in her music and visuals. While "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" only samples the backing track for Ella Fitzgerald's version of the song and not her vocals, Lana has also shared her love for the singer before, covering and sharing videos listening to the jazz icon.
