lando asked whether his relationship with oscar changed: “it's still the same. and i think we both are happy that that's how it is. it's because we both have a lot of respect for one another and we both understand the position that we're in. and we both treat...

“what do you guys like and admire about each other, whether that's as drivers or as human beings?” lando: “i think what i like about him, just his general attitude of how he approaches everything. i said i think a few weeks ago, but just always pretty calm, pretty relaxed in every situation, stays cool. that's something i admire, and i think it's something that at times i wish i was a little bit more like, but everyone does their own thing. you always try and find what works best for you. but it's all things from every driver, even when i was growing up, that you admire from him, admire from him, and don't like in him, don't like in him, whatever it may be. but i think also the most important thing is just how you get on personally. i've always got on well with my teammates. it's easy not to, it takes one decision to make everything not be the way it is. i think that's something we've done well. it obviously makes our life hard as a team, because we have two drivers fighting for a championship instead of one, and that also has its complications at times, and its difficulties allows for other parties to enter the chat more often. yeah we're still happy that we're both up there, and i think how we've worked together, how we just treat each other, whether it's on the track, off the track, whatever it may be, is just a good way of approaching everything. not everyone would agree with it, which is completely acceptable and understandable, but i think we both have a similar approach in terms of just wanting to go on track, prove who's better, try and drive the quickest, but also come off and enjoy our life when the helmet's off, when it's just us as people, us as personalities, and i think that's something that i have a lot of respect for and i enjoy, i think, and i'll look back on in 10 years' time and say the same thing” oscar: “yeah i mean his car collection, i'm trying to catch up (?) 😄 but no, i mean i think honestly, similar things. i think it's nice that we are able to leave what happens on track, on the track, and be friendly off the track. i think it's, like lando said, it's very easy for it to not be that way, and that definitely takes cooperation from both parties. so yeah, i think for me that's probably what i mean, admire sounds a bit strong in teammates, but i think that is a very good strength of lando’s”

To My Day. 🐻: But really as I always say, the reason our concerts can be so fun is really because of you! I'm not just saying this~ When people come to our shows, the friends and family we've invited always say the same thing. I mean sure they say our songs are good or that we sing well but those are kind of like extra factors. They always tell me "Your fans are insane!" Your energy and the atmosphere we create together is honestly what makes the concerts so fun and makes people want to come! That's why we always tell you that you're really people who can do well no matter where u go! That's how we see you! Seriously! So you should feel proud of yourselves! Not just proud of us but proud of yourselves too. Because the way we see you is filled with pride as well. That's why why we can think and speak this way. But for real, thank you. I'm really grateful for the kind of relationship we formed in the first place, but I'm even more thankful that you kept it going like this. I really appreciate that. So, this is not about raising your self esteem. This is really what we see. You know me. I'm not the type of person who says things I don't mean. I can't even make up things even if I wanted to and it's obvious when I lie. So what I say is coming straight from my heart, so I hope you can just take it as it is because that's how I really see you. I don't know what our individual lives are like outside the concert venue because I've never seen that. But you all seem people who can do anything. And you always show that at our concerts. That's how trust builds with between us. But honestly, you do all really sing well. Even better than us at times. We try our best with harmonies and all. But like what you during the fanmeeting*, you pull everything together and leave people amazed. That's just how it is. Just the fact that it keeps coming back in conversations says something, right? I think so too and I felt it back then. It was so touching. If something can move me to tears, and I'm someone who makes music, I'm a singer... but the fact that you made me feel that way, that's saying something. And I'm someone who sings for a living. I have such high standards but you were able to touch my heart like that, then I think it would be the same for anyone watching. The emotions really come through. And I think that's ultimately the most important thing. *

Asked Skylar Diggins about Seattle’s mentality/inability to close out games ahead of the playoffs: “I promise you, I swear I'm not even being facetious. If we had these answers to these questions, you know what I'm saying? This game is tough. It's hard to win in this league. It's hard to win in this league. And obviously, yes, we're disappointed with where we are, that we're in this predicament. But Nneka has said it in the past too. It's not going to be a woe is me. Games are still going to be played. You know, we still have to come out and compete. And most importantly, you know, we have to be professional. And you know, I lacked professionalism in that last press conference too. I want to apologize to the room. Apologize to Nneka. She always comes out here, handles herself exceptionally, and I handle myself poor. And you know, I got to be a better leader when it's hard and it's hard to be a leader. But I owe you that apology in front of everybody in the room. So I just wanted to say that before we left. But yeah, obviously it's tough. We're pissed. Yeah, that's what you guys want to hear? You want to see it. This is what it is when you're passionate. We do everything passionately, and that's what it is. We don't want to fucking be in this predicament. But here we are. So we're going to continue to show up and be pros every day, be leaders by example, how we come in and prepare and come out and get ready to compete, and that's all we can do. And if we don't do that, then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.” @OffTheRecordW | #WNBA

🇫🇷 PRX alecks: "To quote Ilia [something], you have to grow as people as well so that you can accept criticism. To stick together for this long, you have to make sure that everyone is progressing together, and I think that's a very difficult thing to do, and we managed to do that" zhobiii asks alecks what has kept PRX so consistent and adaptable across different metas, and which evolution of the team has been his favorite: "I think we've always tried to play the game our way. I think that's a big part of it. Also, the boys put a lot of trust in the coaching staff. It's been an honor to coach these guys. I'm very, very proud of them and they have managed to evolve as players and as people, and I think that's a very commendable thing. That's allowed them to go past metas again and again. To quote Ilia [something] because he's said this before in one of our team talks, you have to grow as people as well so that you can accept criticism. To stick together for this long, you have to make sure that everyone is progressing together, and I think that's a very difficult thing to do, and we managed to do that. And because of that, I know it's an out-of-game thing, but I think it affects how we look at the game and how we approach every situation, win or lose. We have had bad losses before and we're still here. We've learned from all these experiences. As my favorite meta, no matter what, it would be 2023 Champs when I could see Jinggg play Raze at high speed because he could really satchel really far, so we could make the most creative plans from it. After that, I think watching something play Yoru was a very pleasurable thing to witness at least too."

“Since the pandemic what's been on my mind a lot living still in San Francisco: I wanted to start a social network called ‘Still Here’ (Oh, you still live here? Me too!) — some way for us to come out of our houses and notice that you're here & I'm here but we never leave our homes. I walk around this city (at my own risk)… I feel like cities have lost the point; like they've lost the plot. We still live in cities or value them, but I feel we have to go back to first principles and think: ‘Why did we move to cities in the first place, and what was the value supposed to be? And is that still the deal we're getting, or does there have to be a new deal?’ We used to live in a city because it was economic: we were closer to our job. And then we lived in a city because there was a high density of things that we wanted: cultural [attractions], people, restaurants. And the best cities really were the ones that are fun to walk around. Then we got to a point where it's not safe or clean to walk around, you don't work in the city anymore, and San Francisco started to feel like this gigantic retirement community. It's just all these people who still live here because their kids are in school maybe, or they grew up here… I think our family has a conversation probably twice a year of: ‘Should we move? Why haven't we moved? What's wrong with us?’ And so there's this questioning going on around cities, and I think it's a good question. I think cities need to innovate aggressively to be better. They have to compete with the other options again. They have to make it fun to be there, fun to work there. I think it's great that Daniel Lurie 丹尼爾·羅偉 is mayor of San Francisco and he's putting smart people around him. And they're trying to rethink, first: some of attacking these core problems, but also how do we make San Francisco fun again.” mark pincus - e/acc
