Yep! Because a good number of pitchers have a tough time pronating, but still were trying to throw a pronated circle change (which ends up not a good pitch). This helps pitchers who are supinators to throw nasty changeups.

Lots of people like to call it a screwball. Is there merit to that or not. I feel like I remember the screwball being out of pronotating a slider grip, but so few throw it that I've honestly never seen the grip
