Public service, to me, has always meant fairness, empathy, and being present for people without prejudice or distinction. Guided by this belief, Sebaashray continues to serve the residents of Diamond Harbour with a singular focus on accessible healthcare and human dignity. Today, I visited the Sebaashray-2 health camp at the Harindanga BDO Office ground in Falta, where I interacted with patients, listened carefully to their concerns, and tried to understand their challenges at a personal level. I reassured them of my continued support and of our commitment to ensuring that healthcare reaches those who need it the most. I am grateful to every doctor, health worker, volunteer, and official who has come together in this collective effort. The warmth, trust, and affection shown by the people of Falta today have truly moved me and strengthened my resolve to walk alongside them, every step of the way.

I am grateful to the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, and to Pope Leo XIV for their support for Ukraine. The Holy See’s delegation was in Kyiv right during Russia’s massive attack on our people. Russia does not want to stop these attacks, which is why it is so important to keep working for peace. One format that could help make this possible is a meeting at the leaders’ level. I thank the Vatican for its readiness to host such a meeting and to continue making every effort to help make it happen. We discussed the work of the Church in Ukraine. We deeply value our clergy, who support both our warriors and civilians and help people endure these difficult times. We also discussed Ukraine’s path toward EU membership. Importantly, the Vatican supports our European choice and sees that Ukraine is doing everything necessary to become a full member of the European Union. I thank His Holiness and the Vatican for their constant prayers and for their support for Ukraine and our people.
