He only reads his emails on the laptop?,this was not about his old laptop it about the fact that he was sent emails in October but he issued the statement last minute no one cares about he’s laptop,he a phone and a tablet.

This is stupid. When you experience issues with laptop, you log incident with IT and you get a reference number. They tell you turn around time and you follow up or escalate if not resolved within SLA. If fault can't be resolved, laptop is scraped and replaced.
