I'm from Indiana.. watched him at Indiana State and then as a Pacers season ticket holder, countless times against the Celtics... ultimately to see him become our head coach and then GM. THOSE were the best years of the NBA.

I didn't watch basketball back then, and i don't often watch it now. Really i just watch game 6, and certainly game 7, of any final. But WOW did i miss one of the all time greats! Truly amazing.
