Last day of the job

On my last day of a job I was working, a miserable lady who realized I was leaving opined, "Well, I guess I won't have to put up with you anymore!" I replied, "No ma'am, and I won't have to put up with you either!"

There's nothing I hate the most than people that abuse service workers. Even knowing this must be performative, I have seen terrible behavior from clients all my life, and had to call them out. Cashiers deserve respect and patience.

Anyone who has worked retail has been there.

I had a job that i quit like that. On Christmas Eve. The Assistant Manager kept the store open 4 hours later than scheduled. I walked out after cussing him out.
