I write this without knowing where to begin. Coach, you are more than just a mentor to me. Everything you taught has helped me grow both as an athlete and person. You have gone out of your way to make sure I was mentally and physically prepared for every competition. You stood by me through injury. You were there through the highs, and you were there even more through the lows. You were one of the quietest in the stands, but your words to me rang the loudest in my ears when I threw. I will miss the pranks and the laughs we shared, but more than anything, I will miss US as a team. Thank you for being a part of my journey. First, I would like to thank god for blessing me with the opportunities that have been given to me. Through these opportunities I have gotten to learn and grow as a man. Thank you to coach Drinkwitz for giving me the opportunity to play football at the University of Missouri. I would like to thank coach Russell and the entire strength staff for pushing me mentally and physically everyday to make myself a better athlete and man. Thank you to all of the coaches that I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with and learn from over the past 3 years. I would like to thank the entire academic department for helping me reach my goals academically while at Mizzou. Finally, I would like to thank all of the teammates that I have played with over my time at Mizzou. I have made connections, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime and I am sincerely grateful for all of them. With that being said, I am officially entering my name into the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility.

Today was one of the hardest days in my Franklin County high school basketball career. Since I was in 6th grade, I could not wait to play for the lady flyers. It felt so good to see coach Thacker support us at our middle school games. My first year playing was my 7th grade year. Since then, Joey Thacker has coached, trained, motivated, encouraged, and pushed me to be what he knows I could be. He held me accountable while also congratulating me on jobs well done. I watched him sacrifice day after day to be in the gym with us. He stayed strong while his family was handling health concerns. No matter what, he has always been there for us. For me, he has been one of the best coaches I have ever had. I have so much I could say, I’m just having a hard time getting my thoughts out. I love you coach Thacker. Thank you for being a coach that realty cared about his players and not about the wins and losses. Thank you for your sacrifices. Thank you for building a program that set the standard in the 11th region. After 22 years, 1 2A state championship, 2 sweet 16 state runner ups, 5 elite 8 finishes, 7 11th region championships, 94 straight 41st district wins with 12 straight district titles, and countless tournament championships, my coach will be retiring. It hurts to not be able to finish up my high school career with him as my coach, but I am so happy for him and his family. I am happy to say I played for Coach Thacker since my 7th grade year and would not trade any minute of it. I would have love to have just 1 more year with you. 💔As always, I will continue to text you even if you are not my coach anymore lol. Sorry I didn’t get you the KHSAA state championship😞. I have only really been happy alone. I’m alone but not lonely. 7 years of violent SA as a child has made me the strong, independent person I am. Men will never be women. The Ladyboys here think the situation in the West is dangerous for Women. I will die alone but happy. I am blessed.

After 18 years, it’s time to say goodbye to Chelsea. I arrived as a nine-year-old with a dream, and I leave as a man who’s lived that dream in ways I never imagined. This journey tested me, lifted me, and strengthened me. To every teammate, coach, staff member, and supporter, thank you for shaping me. I gave everything I had, and I’m proud of the person this club helped me become. To the young players: the path won’t always be smooth. But stay ready, stay positive, and keep your faith.
