Last month, I shared a bit here about how my 17-year-old son has a passion for video game development and has spent hundreds of hours over the last 9 months creating his first game for release. Well, I want to let you know that Nitro Turtles is now out!...

If you have kids or grandkids, you're probably aware of just how bad a lot of video games are. They often glorify sex or violence, reaffirm every secular viewpoint about the authority of the self, and promote contra-biblical ideas about social justice. In fact, I shared a few months ago about how most video game development college programs explicitly frame their goals in terms of educating developers who will pursue (culturally-approved) social justice themes. Well, my 17-year-old son wants to help change that. He has a passion for video game development and recently created his own game studio. He started teaching himself programming and game development when he was in third grade and has poured hundreds upon hundreds of hours into gaining expertise in these areas over the last decade--all on his own, in his free time. Over the last 9 months in particular, he's been solo developing his debut game for the market, Nitro Turtles! It's a party racing game about turtles that will release on March 10. Nitro Turtles will have 9 race courses, a speedrun mode with online leaderboards, and split screen/online multiplayer. If you don't play video games and you don't have kids or grandkids who do, check out the game trailer below anyway just for fun. But if you're a fan of indie games or have kids/grandkids who would enjoy playing this, please wishlist the game on Steam (Steam is the marketplace for computer games where Nitro Turtles will be released--he already has a demo up on that page where you can try it out).

SOULQUEST IS FINALLY OUT ON STEAM! It's real, after almost 7 years, the days of doubting if the game will see the day of light are over. Thank you so much to all my Kickstarter backers and the people who supported this game for so long. It's definitely not a perfect game, but I tried my best to make a kickass combat for a 2D game, which I would love to have played in 2019 when I started this project. Hope that SoulQuest may take that place for you as well. See you all in Cetonia!⚔️

(about Concerto) 🔮: i'm so proud and happy that 🎭 was there. it's no secret at all that he's very hard working and that he does a lot behind the scenes and a lot of practice. 🔮: and that he's one of the most hardworking people that any of us have ever known but i don't know if you guys realize there's a lot that you don't see. 🔮: it's just really incredible, he is a true testament to seeing somebody reap what they've sown and harvesting all of the plants and fruit and crops that they have sown and planted over months and months and years of hard work and dedication. 🔮: this is just the epitome of everything, it's a combination of everything that he has worked for and done over these years. everything that he has said about how he felt. all of his feelings, thoughts and struggles and everything that he has shared already with everyone and with you guys. 🔮: it's all so real and authentic so i'm really happy and glad to see that he is getting his flowers. he's getting lots of flowers, he's getting his bouquets finally. i as his genmate, as a part of Noctyx, i can only hope to get to that same level. 🔮: it's so inspiring, isn't it? even when i have moments where i feel like i wanna give up or maybe i shouldn't work as hard, it's people like him that really give you that motivation and inspiration to keep going because everything that you do and work for will be worth it in the end. 🔮: i'm gonna make sure on my end that i can catch up to these two. i have a lot of catching up to do, don't i? 🥹🥹🥹💜🧡

I would give up the most to get Mason Miller. I think he is awesome, first of all. Two, he is young and he is under team control. You get Mason Miller for four more years on top on what he has...So he can be the long term closer and I think his stuff is on just a different level. “The last time that we were touring and stuff, I think touring is quite an isolating experience. And on top of that, when we started touring, it was 2021, so it was kind of like still depths of the pandemic. We were like one of the first tours to go back out. So I think that tour started in that way where it was like, I was really bubbled up even kind of within the tour. And then staying on that tour, we put an album out and it ended up being like two and a half years type time. It's just a long time to be in like a bubble where you're not really spending that much time like in the world around you, other than shows and hotels and stuff. And when I finished, I kind of went off and was spending a lot of time in Italy, and was kind of like having this quiet time, and I was just feeling a lot of my life as I was kind of like, craving like quiet and kind of like private spaces. I was just feeling myself kind of like shut out a lot of the world, “I think, and I think the last couple of years for me was about, you know, there's a lot of things that I think I got used to saying no to, like invites from friends and like maybe a weekend trip or like a birthday party or something. I think I just got used to, you know, if I have a week at home, I don't want to go somewhere else for three days. I just want to stay home, you know. And I think when I got to Italy and was kind of out in this quiet place, I felt like, okay, if I'm going to spend all this time out here and I'm going to keep saying no to everything, I'm just going to like shut myself off from the world. And while parts of that sound appealing, I also like, I love people and I love like being in the world, you know, so it was kind of, I think for me, like there's been both the thing of like learning to set boundaries and stuff is a large part of that has also been learning when not to set boundaries and when to open up.
