Last night Anderson Cooper made quite a statement. Whether you agree with him that we need to break out of silos and understand the other half of America or not, I think this is worth thinking about. It’s important for us to hear each others’ opinions, not just so... that we can better make up our minds on various issues, but also so that we can fact check our friends, our family members, and our colleagues. If we don’t debate. If we don’t educate. If we don’t discuss our differences, then there will never be any progress or unity made. Outrage and anger can sometimes be the greater force in making change, in taking a stand, and in standing up for what we believe in. Joe Biden didn’t get more votes than every president before him because people absolutely adored him. Joe Biden got the most votes ever because so many people were scared of what another term under Donald Trump would do to this country. It’s important not to forget who Donald Trump is — whether you love him or your hate him — because we all need to be more motivated to vote. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Trump was not giving his opinion. What you heard was a con-man telling desperate lies to try to keep himself out of federal prison and get back into the White House. What Trump is doing is criminal, it’s not just giving opinions. Let’s be clear about that.

I agree, but at the same time, I think many Democrats have stopped keeping up with politics, and when the election roles around if they aren't given a lot of reminders of who Trump is, they will stay home.

I also agree with you that open dialogue, debate, and education are essential for progress and unity. However, I'm inclined to challenge your assertion that Biden won primarily out of fear of another Trump term. While I agree that was a factor for some, I believe it's an oversimplification. Many voted for Biden because they believed in his policies or because they saw him as a return to a more traditional form of politics. As for remembering who Trump is, it's equally important to remember who Biden is and what his administration stands for. The 2020 election was as much about who voters wanted as who they didn't. It's vital that we all stay engaged, informed, and ready to vote, regardless of our political leanings. Lastly, I do agree with your point on outrage and anger as catalysts for change, but we should also remember the power of constructive dialogue and collaboration. Often, it's not anger that brings lasting change, but understanding, empathy, and the ability to find common ground. Looking forward to more of these discussions!

@GCapital_LLC I'm not saying that Biden would have lost if it hadn't been fear of Trump but I definitely think if the fear wasn't there it would have at least been a lot closer.
