Last night Google's open source Flutter project removed X from their socials. There was no discussion. Thousands of people have been disenfranchised and the larger tech community cut off. Please share & discuss below 👇

@Google @FlutterDev @X Find/replace mistake on my part. Revert approved. We're actively posting on Twitter Reddit LinkedIn and now BlueSky (thanks to the amazing @craig_labenz) We even like our Twitter account on the top of the Flutter GitHub org. Where else should we be engaging with users?

What _really_ changes whether that handle is in README or not? It's a effectively marketing account which sends updates every now and again. It does not engage to support or discuss - individuals on specific teams do (if they want. ain't no one is forced to engage).

Downplaying the issue

@Google @FlutterDev @X Honestly disappointed. We can have our tech independent of politics and beliefs. What happens when they no longer like the other platform? This is setting a bad precedent.

@Google @FlutterDev @X This what happens when people cannot handle the truth. Very sad but their actions speak louder than words. If the Flutter team really cared about free speech they would not have done this. By the way WordPress did the same thing.

@Google @FlutterDev @X Honestly been loving blue sky (My niche is strong their for my app) but it makes no sense for them to remove their X account. SUper odd move, its not that hard to use both and there are tools to post to both
