Was the Tesla in self-driving mode or autopilot? It can’t be both yet ABC News said so. Makes me question the legitimacy of this article. Tesla can easily investigate what really happened and I’m sure we will find out soon.

A pedestrian was hit by a speeding car, so opposing traffic started driving through the lane I was in. My Tesla handled it all seamlessly, without intervention. Even very rare and unusual situations are now handled seamlessly by the neural net.

I think everyone should listen to this. Tesla FSD has gotten so incredibly good that people are now getting so hung up on the lingering issues and completely dismissing the fact that we literally have self-driving cars. When I grew up the idea of a self-driving car was something out of science fiction. Ten year old Devin could have never guessed that later in life his car would be driven by electricity and drive itself. The future is cool, appreciate it for what it is and don't get too hungup on the imperfections along the way. Tesla is actively putting out new updates as fast as they possibly can to continue to make FSD better - let them cook, and enjoy the ride.

Tesla Self-Driving 14.1.2 avoids potholes in the Pacific Palisades, which burned down in the LA fires earlier this year Extremely impressive! Last time I came here, I had to take over to avoid driving on the bad sections of the road. Now the car did it itself.

It is even weird to me to see a car driving with no humans on San Francisco freeways. People forget that I had the first video of a Waymo 15 years ago. Well, back then it was a Google R&D car. In fact it was the first video of any autonomous vehicle on public roads in the world posted on YouTube. Back then there were four people in the car so I didn’t realize it was a self-driving car. In fact it took six more months for anyone to figure out that Google was doing R&D on the freeways here. I shot this from my Tesla on the way to tonight’s big AI party in San Francisco. My Tesla was self-driving too, but can’t yet drive without a human in the car. With human=supervised. Without human=unsupervised. I will link to the original video in replies.

Just came back from my FSD demo drive It was insane , confident, smooth I could say it drives better than the average driver ! I didn’t record much because I wanted to enjoy the most of the experience. Guys, if people will have this tech in their car, they won’t want to go back to a non-self driving car again. Okay so I was sleeping and I’m not entirely sure what it was, but at 3 AM this morning something woke me up. I heard a noise, felt the Tesla moving, and honestly got really scared for a second. I looked for a few seconds and saw kids messing with the charging plug. I opened the window and asked them what they were doing — and of course this is exactly what the best car in the world captured on camera. There’s no system like this in the world, and no car like this either. Thank you Tesla for the security and all the safety features you give us in our Tesla.
