Violence against women and girls is a cruel epidemic that has a grip on our society, and one we must confront together. This week, we’ve launched the next stage of our plan to rid our society of misogyny. We’re investing in local communities and frontline support, empowering young people, and ensuring our justice system properly holds perpetrators to account.

One significant achievement our government has achieved in saving cost of governance and improving the security of our people is the installation of solar-powered streetlights along several roads in Kano. This ongoing project has covered several kilometers, and is breathing life into roads that were previously perpetually dark. - AKY
