Last weekend I went down the Colosseum Solana Breakout Hackathon rabbit hole, which had 1,400+ submissions. ๐คฏ So I built a dashboard to filter, sort, and explore projects + some analytics to see what people are building and how others are engaging. Insights + link below ๐

Up first, some stats ๐ This might be the largest crypto hackathon ever: - 1,414 total projects - 3,401 unique participants - 2.4 average team size - 74 countries represented

Top Tracks ๐งญ Out of 1,400+ submissions, hereโs where most teams focused: ๐๏ธ Consumer โ 30% ๐ธ DeFi โ 19% ๐ค AI โ 16% ๐๏ธ Infrastructure โ 13% ๐ฎ Gaming โ 9% ๐ต Stablecoins โ 7% ๐ก DePIN โ 6%

Top Countries ๐ Where are all these builders from? Here are the top 10 by project count: ๐ฎ๐ณ India โ 231 ๐ณ๐ฌ Nigeria โ 175 ๐บ๐ธ United States โ 110 ๐บ๐ฆ Ukraine โ 102 ๐ฌ๐ง United Kingdom โ 68 ๐ฉ๐ช Germany โ 58 ๐ฏ๐ต Japan โ 55 ๐จ๐ณ China โ 53 ๐ฒ๐พ Malaysia โ 39 ๐ซ๐ท France โ 37

Team Size Breakdown ๐ฅ How big were the teams? ๐ง Solo โ 551 ๐ฅ 2 members โ 333 ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง 3 members โ 251 ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ 4 members โ 141 ๐งโ๐คโ๐ง 5 members โ 66 ๐งโ๐คโ๐ง+ 6 or more โ 72 Most teams chose to hack solo or as a pair, while the largest team had 20 members ๐ฏ

Top 10 by Engagement ๐ฃ As of writing, these projects have the highest total engagement (likes + comments): @collaterizehq ๐ฅ @cheersupSOL ๐ฅ @plinkcinerator ๐ฅ @Refihub @pett_ai @SharpTradeFi @thelynkapp @GalaxyhubAI @stakenovadotfun @catoffgaming

One key feature of the dashboard: analytics update based on your filters. For example, there are 15 projects in โpredictionโ ร AI and they show 70% higher average engagement than the overall set.

Try it out: If you find any interesting data, have feedback, or ideas for what to build next, I would love to hear from you. DMs open, and am always down to jam!

While you're here, if youโre a hacker and want to level up your project to the next stage, Iโm backing early teams with up to $100K. Check out my profile and feel free to reach out. Always open to chat.

Last Quarter for @hexclad my team generated 74 Million Organic impressions, the best part? This is 7 X what we did last year, and it was all through free product. Here's some thought on how we accomplished this. #1 Compounding Impressions Compounding impressions is the 8th wonder of the world. We have been doing influencer outreach for nearly 3 years now. We started in chef creators as the target demo and only expanded outward from there. The same creators who posted 3 years ago are posting now. It's a beautiful thing when you have a great product. #2 Inbound 3 years ago Hexclad didn't have the reputation it does now. As Hexclad's credibility has grown, so has the amount of creators who want to work with them. Our optin rate on outreach is SUPER high, as well as the amount of creators applying on their own. #3 Product Use Cooking is hands down the best category to run influencer marketing. The pans, aprons, hexmills etc are all things that can easily be included in every post for creators posting Recipes. It's not uncommon for the average creator seeded to post 7+ times. This is just a better set than sending another face moisturizer.
