Last weekend when Museveni's son and other security operatives raided the National Unity Platform, they disconnected our CCTV cameras and the internet systems, took away the Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), and switched off electricity. They blocked the media from coming close to record whatever they were doing. They believed...

"If you look at what has happened in Eastern Congo, and everything we have gone through over the past four or five years, and you look at what we have left behind, there is evidence. There are facts that speak for themselves. In Eastern Congo, in Goma and elsewhere, the whole world came together against Rwanda. The whole world lined up against Rwanda: the FDLR and all the groups associated with it that have been mentioned, the Wazalendo, the Burundian forces, the FARDC, the South Africans, and many others. I would rather not spend time naming them all; there were so many. When you look at the scale of what they had assembled there and what they were up against, it is clear that what they were trying to do was wage war against Rwanda, destabilize our country, and reshape it the way they wanted. In fact, they said so themselves. Ordinarily, if someone were to say these things without evidence, you might think they were simply trying to frighten people, to intimidate them. To convince themselves that what they wanted was within reach and that they were going to achieve it, they even brought in mercenaries. You know that many of them passed through here. We gave free passage to our enemies, allowing them to leave a war they waged against us, a war that was never theirs to begin with. That alone tells you something. And it is also something for which our forces, together with others who stood with them, deserve recognition. As for Rwanda, we will always be in a struggle for our very existence. Regardless of those who wish us harm, surrounding us from many sides, one thing remains true: we should and will always be a step ahead of them. It is our right. It is our will. And our history has taught us that we have within ourselves the capacity to defend and protect ourselves whenever necessary. And that is exactly what we will continue to do." The battles in Sweida, which everyone had heard about, took place. Some people came to us and told us that the Bedouin tribal sheikhs and the Druze sheikhs had agreed that we would remain brothers and that no problems would arise. Then they returned to us in the evening and told us not to leave our homes and that no one would harm us. I stayed in my home because I was going to work the next day. My husband and child stayed with me. My husband is sick and needs a joint replacement, so we did not leave. But our neighbors left their homes and fled the area. The next day, the Druze militia returned to our area and installed heavy weapons on a nearby hill, despite their promise not to harm us. They then targeted families and civilians in the neighborhood with mortar shells. We were directly targeted for two hours despite our attempts to flee the area. Then the Hajri militia searched every house individually, armed with handguns and rifles. They asked us if we had money, phones, weapons, or identification. We told them we were civilians, didn't have any weapons, and didn't know how to use them. My husband, a civilian, didn't know how to use them. I told them there was only a sick man and my child, and we were all trying to take shelter in our house. They told me I was now a prisoner. They also captured my husband and covered his face with the shirt he was wearing. I told them we were neighbors from Amad, and yesterday you had promised us safety and that we wouldn't be targeted. Why are you doing this to us now? They told me no. Then they did the same thing to the rest of the houses in the area. After that, someone came to us and, by chance, he knew my husband before. He hid us in one of the houses, gave us water to drink, and allowed my child to use the bathroom. He was kind and respectful, while the rest were just a criminal gang. Then they gathered everyone they had captured in the mosque. When I entered the mosque, I found many dead people. I found one of the children beheaded, and his mother was my neighbor. Did you see what happened? I saw them because the militia brought all the bodies to the mosque for burial. I saw one of our neighbors, who had difficulty moving due to rheumatism, and they shot him in the feet. Then they took him away, claiming they were going to treat him. Instead, they killed him in front of the mosque. This is what I saw with my own eyes. After that, because I was a nurse, they brought the injured to the mosque for treatment, even though they claimed they were taking them to the hospital. One of the family members was a doctor. I saw five of their injuries with my own eyes, all of them children. Then they made successive promises that they would release us that same day. The guards who escorted us were respectful. As for food, they offered us a cup of bulgur for every five people. I'm now trying to remember the details of what happened. There wasn't enough water, and we were over 1,000 prisoners. Why were they holding you? They told us we were prisoners, promising us they would release us. We held our belongings by the door, waiting for our release. Were they viewing you as civilian prisoners? We are prisoners of Of course. They held us captive so they could force us out of our homes and out of Sweida Governorate. I remember them asking me, "Why didn't you leave your home?" I told them you came to us yesterday, promised us safety, and told us not to leave our homes. out, so now they are asking why. When in reality, they wanted to forcibly displace us from our homes. Where are you now? We are now in Daraa Governorate. They brought us here today. 1/2 #SaveSweidaBedouins #AlHijriGangsKillChildren #Syria

"It's equally possible we may matter no more to them than those random protozoa in our tap water do to us. In other words, by our meager moral definitions, they may be both good and evil." This is so good, and I've LOVED it since Renate🇳🇴 tweeted it last year. Very Keel-like and may explain some of what we're dealing with. ~~~ The Secret History of Twin Peaks Portions of the government we both served with pride have failed us. They have lied, withheld secrets, acted in their own selfish interests, at the expense of their citizens. And don't believe anyone who tells you this all began in Roswell in ’47. I'm convinced now, that whatever I've glimpsed or encountered and spent my life tracking, has been with us since humankind came down out of the trees. It is not something "out there," in the president's words - they may well have once been our "neighbors" from some distant star, but I believe they were here before us. I believe that were we able to look deeply at the whole of human history, we would see that they have always been here. I believe they have observed, helped, haunted, tormented, and teased us, since the beginning of time, for reasons entirely their own. I believe that they are a multitude, and that their true nature is singular and energetic, not physical. Evolved in some way, light-years beyond our ability to understand, and as a consequence, our limited, linear sense of time means nothing to them. A few of us were chosen, for some strange purpose, to learn more about them. Or perhaps for other reasons. I believe their presence fills more than the skies or these woods. They lie at the root-cause of every extra-normal or paranormal experience our species has recorded: religious, spiritual, scientific, ghostly, inspirational, angelic, and demonic. From the burning bush, to Fatima and Lourdes, to vampires and sky people, monsters and abductions in the night, and Roswell and Homestead and all those strange lights and craft seen for millennia by so many of us in so many skies. I believe all of these phenomena that our puffed-up egos and busy-ant minds persist in trying to label, categorize, penetrate and comprehend, all spring from this same uncanny source. This is the mother of all Others. And were we ever able to set our eyes on its ultimate nature, we would find it as foreign, incomprehensible and indifferent to us as ours would be to bacterial microbes swimming in a drop of water. These final truths you must never forget. We are utterly incapable of knowing their true intent, and their true intent may not be to wish us well. It may be that they're here to guide or even aid our evolution. It's equally possible we may matter no more to them than those random protozoa in our tap water do to us. In other words, by our meager moral definitions, they may be both good and evil. And those precious distinction of ours mean nothing to them. There may be even a good and evil side at play here, and we, our human race, is the game. Let me hasten to add, I hope I'm wrong. That this work being chosen, has deranged me. But Garland, I fear that I am right, and in my right mind. The owls may indeed not be what they seem, but still serve an imperative function. They remind us to look into the darkness. #ufos #uap #aliens #ufoX #paranormal #ghosts #supernatural #twinpeaks
