The keen eye will notice that this stops the bolt near the very back of its travel. This is to prevent wear on all parts as the bolt doesn’t have a chance to slam onto the bolt hold open lever. All thought behind this design is to maintain RELIABILITY AND LONGEVITY. It does require a laser cut part and dremel skills.
