This ship sounds off several alarms for its past actions including ship-to-ship transfers of sanctioned cargo; sanctioned cargo movements; sailing into contested areas, and no clear insurance and flag of registry. What promoted the seizure specifically for the US was two loads of Iranian oil shipped to China in the first half of the year. The US issues an arrest order for the ship (yes, ships can be arrested). 29 May 2026 Giga Texas Snapshots! AS I get ready to head off to Europe for a few weeks to attend the Tesla Club Austria Takeover Europe event, Here is an extended snapshots video clip showing a site absolutely brimming with activity. Today is also a rare production day to make up for the holiday on Monday. Cybercabs all over the place today, exiting the factory, driving in the outbound lot for transport pickup, many with their hatches open prepping for final inspections and more! The refreshed Tesla Semi with extended cab removed at the Crash Testing facility today too! Construction in 4 major sites is really moving along today too, including more steel erection at the N Optimus factory site, and the extension ground reclamation work continues to progress. The E Advanced Tech Chip fab shows more earth preparation and Cortex 2 part 2 of the cooling system getting 4 of these 6 fan units installed while more Megapacks have arrived and are being installed. The SW Test Track is also getting work done on it, with some new excavation work and pipe installation along with new concrete curbs. So mush more to see today and I hope you enjoy this slightly loner snapshots look at the factory today. See you in a few weeks!

Spending Christmas in Singapore and we're currently swimming in what's known as the most spectacular swimming pool in Asia, atop the Marina Bay Hotel. Lives up to the hype to be honest, very cool place! Singapore in general is very pleasant, dynamic and feels altogether harmonious. The only thing that surprised me is that it's less high-tech than what you'd expect. Very few EV cars in the streets for instance. So for this, at first glance, it definitely feels more like the West than like China. Which is surprising: I'd have expected them to be more of a bridge between both. Not complaining though, Singapore is a great place to spend a few days, and looks like it'd be a nice place to live too.

Not something we see every day on the freeway. We were headed up to Lake Tahoe a few years ago when we encountered the annual Commemorative Wagon Train in Strawberry, El Dorado County, California. The Highway 50 Association has been putting on this wagon train re-enactment for 77 years! The Wagon Train starts in Round Hill, Nevada, and travels over Highway 50 ending in Placerville, California. In the past, it had many more participants, and we felt sorry to see it dwindle to just a few wagons. Nevertheless, they keep the spirit of the days of '49 alive, and it seems there is a growing interest in keeping this going and getting more people involved. They have sold out their participation spots for this year!

Artemis was a great test of going around the moon. However the Artemis rocket system has the same problem as the Apollo missions to the moon. It costs too much. The Artemis rocket, SLS, was designed by the US Senate. $4 billion per launch. And can only launch once each 2 years. We can’t build a moon base with this system. SLS was a rocket designed by politicians to create jobs for the old Space Shuttle contractors. They spent 15 years and $25 billion developing it, and it will never be cost effective at $4 billion per launch. It is an obsolete rocket already. It works, but it will eventually die due to budget cuts.

It’s the last production day of 2025 at Giga Texas & it seems to be a Model Y Performance day to boot! I’ve added a real time video showing the pace of vehicles exiting the factory, but with a new twist. The cars are being driven out of the factory and down the ramp by employees, then autonomously about 1.3 miles to the West End of Line facility for final processing. This may be due to interior preparations for upgrades and maintenance on the production lines over the next few weeks. In any case, enjoy these views of a rare Friday production day!

A MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS... And the good people of Churchlands... on an early drive around this morning, it seems a huge number of my campaign signs were taken, destroyed or defaced. If you're going past and see one and get and have a moment to either straighten it up or tidy it up, that would be greatly appreciated. If nothing else, it will make the area look a lot tidier. It seems only my signs were targeted, and by the looks of things by an electric bike or scooter. Election day is next Saturday, March 8. ALL the signs will come down the following day! Thanks everyone.
