FNB was one of the worst banks during COVID, despite government giving them guarantees of 200 billion in total for the banks… FNB did not save Black businesses and Black professionals. They saved white people’s businesses only with that money… “Capital, which is Rupert and the banks, and the broederbond that continues to control these institutions, today — they’ve realized that Black people are not stupid… Ramaphosa’s days are numbered. The ANC’s days, under Ramaphosa, are numbered, unless Ramaphosa steals the election, which is a possibility… There’s a real prospect that the EFF will emerge as a very serious, credible party that will become the second biggest party in the country… When the EFF becomes the second biggest party in this election (2024)… The 2029 election will see the EFF becoming the governing party. Unquestionably… So capital and big business, the likes of Roger Jardine, Johann Rupert, and others, are not interested so much in Ramaphosa governing, in 2024… They want to make sure that, in 2029, the EFF does not become the governing party… This is what we call the third way strategy… When you introduce a third party candidate, backed by the capital and establishment, and you throw billions behind such a candidate, in order to make sure that your chosen candidate — even though he has messed up and caused so much — you have a fallback position.” Summary/Highlights: • Roger was CEO of Avenge Construction company, which was fined billions for colluding, during the 2010 Soccer World Cup. South Africa lost billions due to the corruption here. To this day, CEOs, including Roger Jardine, were never charged. Matter quietly swept under the carpet. Don’t know if he was directly involved in the collusion. • Roger was involved in Kagiso, which is funded by Johann Rupert. • Was involved in Primedia, which caters to a right- of-centre white audience, in terms of SA politics; not pro Black but very much antiblack, very pro-white. • He was the chairman of First National Bank, which was started and influenced by the Rupert family and the Afrikaners. Rupert family still wield significant control and influence over FNB and some of the other banks in the country. You cannot become the chairman of FNB without the tacit approval of someone like Johann Rupert.
