State troopers have entered the encampment, while protesters close in on them chanting “hands off our students.”

Multiple protesters have been detained and the encampment has visibly decreased but remains.

Clash emerges between troopers, Austin police and protesters, with law enforcement attempting to pull a tarp out from under the protesters.

10-15 more Austin police officers arrived and continue to make arrests. Protesters' arms remain linked as police try to remove them from one another.

UPDATE: Law enforcement arrested 79 protesters yesterday, according to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Seventy-eight were charged with criminal trespassing, one has an additional charge of Obstructing a Highway or Passageway and one is charged with Interfering with Public Duties.

UPDATE: Thirty-four of the 79 protesters arrested on Monday are UT students. The other 45 are non-UT affiliated, and no faculty/staff were arrested, a UT spokesperson said.

All protesters arrested Monday have been released, but none of their charges were dropped, according to a lawyer with the Austin Lawyers Guild.
