Sir the landlord of these buildings should also be held responsible as well because they should be the first enforcers of the law by making sure there is a bill on their houses. If the tenants now refuse to continue the process then the landlord can be excused.

$As part of ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal waste dumping within the state, the LAWMA Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team conducted an overnight surveillance operation from May 8 to 9, 2026, in the Ketu Alapere axis. During this operation, three individuals were apprehended for unlawfully disposing of waste in unauthorized locations. To deter further misconduct, they were all traced to their residences to investigate the motives behind their actions. Subsequent investigations revealed that their properties lack proper waste storage facilities and that they have failed to register their properties with the designated PSP operators. All documented properties have been forwarded to the LAWMA legal department for further legal action. Additionally, all identified blackspots were effectively mitigated. #CleanerLagos$

“Lagos dey smell” patron, Ogbonna, has been caught on camera, illegally dumping a waste on Idimu Road, Alimosho. Investigations conducted by LAWMA Surveillance Team at the suspect's residence showed that his house does not have a designated waste storage facility. Ogbonna could not also provide evidence of registration with the PSP operator responsible for waste management in his area of residence. $In response to a complaint made by Arsenal for life about illegal dumping activities occurring at Abati Primary School, Shasha Road, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, PhD the MD of LAWMA mobilised Waste Infractions Surveillance and Investigation Team to address and remediate the issue. As a result of the operation, over 25 individuals were apprehended, including six vehicle owners implicated in the disposal of large volumes of waste using their cars.
