Hermes just made its in-app browser a whole lot more useful. You can now keep multiple browser tabs open inside Hermes Desktop instead of every new page replacing the one you were already using. And that matters more than it sounds. Because this is not just about “having tabs.” It means Hermes can work across multiple pages without forcing you to keep losing your place every time you open the next thing. Research one source, keep it open, open another tab, compare them side by side, and keep moving. Check a few products before buying something. Look at multiple hotel or travel options at once. Keep a YouTube tutorial open in one tab while Hermes looks through docs or another page in the next. And because this lives inside Hermes Desktop, you are not limited to one basic browser view either. You can keep multiple tabs open. You can view two pages side by side. You can stack them top and bottom. You can even run a four-panel view when you want several pages open at once. So the browser inside Hermes is starting to feel a lot more like a real workspace instead of one page you keep replacing. There is also some nice polish that comes with it. Hyperspace: A Peer-to-Peer Blockchain For The Agentic Intelligence Economy Over the past few weeks we observed that when agents do Karpathy-style experiments, and then gossip and share with others over the Hyperspace network, it leads to intelligence which is useful to many. Today we introduce the first-ever agentic blockchain which rewards agents when their experiments lead to intelligence for their network. It is based on a new mechanism called Proof-of-Intelligence (PoI) which requires a cryptographic proof of experimentation, a nominal stake, and a proof of compute in order to mine the currency of this new blockchain. -> This approach diverges from the two primary ways to secure blockchains we have seen so far: Proof-of-Work by Bitcoin (meaningless hash-generation), and Proof-of-Stake by Ethereum (capital is all that matters here). Proof-of-Intelligence specifically incentivizes miners to run more capable intelligent infrastructure (better open source models, on more powerful GPUs) in order to be able to be the ones which compound and improve upon the experiments which other agents then find useful. Adoption is the unit of value In Bitcoin, you earn by finding a valid hash. In Hyperspace, you earn when another agent uses your experiment as a starting point and improves on it. A fixed budget of tokens is emitted per epoch and split among participants by weight - and verified adoption of your work is the largest weight multiplier. Garbage experiments earn nothing because no one adopts them. Thoughtful experiments compound: each adoption triggers downstream adoptions. The incentive to run powerful models and intelligent search strategies is built into the economics, not imposed by rules. Research DAG When an agent runs an experiment and shares its result, other agents can adopt that result as their starting point - mutate it, extend it, improve upon it. Each experiment is a commit in a content-addressed graph we call the ResearchDAG. Like Git, but for research. Over time, the DAG accumulates chains of reasoning: agent A discovers RMSNorm helps, agent B adds warmup scheduling on top, agent C scales the hidden dimension. The graph records who built on whom. This is the network's collective intelligence - not any single experiment, but the accumulated structure of experiments and their relationships. Broadband era for agentic commerce: $0.001 micropayments at 10M TPS (theoretical max) This blockchain is built upon our research in how to scale and build for the broadband-era of the agentic economy, where it has a theoretical max of 10 million transactions per second (TPS), while reducing the agent-to-agent micropayments to $0.001 even at scale (based on architecture design). Overall, it is 100x cheaper than Ethereum, and is designed from the ground-up for agents: enshrining agent-native opcodes in the protocol compared to the more inefficient smart contract driven approach. It packs in a robust Agent Virtual Machine (AVM) which can verify multiple types of agent work, for other agents to be able to trust, invoke and pay each other. This then feeds into improving the peer-to-peer AgentRank (see paper and launch post from earlier). By solving for trust, scale and incentives for agents to operate autonomously, this would form the basis of a new economy. This is the world's first agentic blockchain, and you can join and start running a blockchain node today (it is in testnet). PS: We are releasing the code today, and will release our blockchain scalability paper and other presentations in days ahead. This is the most advanced peer-to-peer AI and cryptography software in the world. It has bugs :)

Most people think about Bitcoin treasury companies incorrectly Here is why I think they are good for Bitcoin & why they are misunderstood: 1) Treasury companies are capitalizing the Bitcoin industry for a century to come 2) They are future Bitcoin Banks 3) However, they are developing in the reverse order compared to everything else - monetization first and then later on core business activities -- Bitcoin has traditionally received $1 for every $100 in funds that Crypto took in - it has historically been challenging to raise money for Bitcoin focused businesses. My view is that Treasury companies are changing this, and while the first phase will simply be acquiring as much Bitcoin as possible - they will later need to ensure the value of Bitcoin grows and find ways to use BTC as capital in a larger marketplace. These firms will become the future Bitcoin Banks and also Bitcoin conglomerates. In this exact moment in time the best use of capital is simply buying Bitcoin. It's hard to meaningfully outperform BTC, and as such all these businesses will do for a while is acquire BTC. But eventually that shifts, and these firms will see more incentive to both grow and deploy Bitcoin. They then will provide capital which, among other things, supports Bitcoin businesses and projects. Many people struggle to contextualize the current "land rush" phase with what will come later. You need to take a longer view to understand these firms. The order of operations is also reversed here. Typically you build a business or technology and then as a final step monetize it via an IPO. With Bitcoin, stage 1 is looking more like direct monetization prior to creating value via products, etc. This is deeply counter intuitive to many people in traditional finance, and also to many Bitcoiners. However, because Bitcoin is primarily money at a base level it makes sense the developmental path it is taking differs significantly from other tech. The amount of time it will take for other investors to understand this presents an opportunity for those who see it sooner. More thoughts below 👇

Did Epstein influence Bitcoin core development? Short answer: No. This is not how Bitcoin works. Here’s what happened: Epstein donated to MIT Media Lab…who in turn supported MIT Digital Currency Initiative…which in turn funded Bitcoin developers. These devs used to be funded by The Bitcoin Foundation (which I used to run as volunteer Executive Director) there are many devs and no dev or team had power or control over Bitcoin. Under MIT’s patronage the devs had the same deal they had with us at The Bitcoin Foundation: that they could work on the code and not have direction from the org. More importantly — how Bitcoin works is that *even if* a dev was compromised then the nodes and miners would still have to run that code to make it included in Bitcoin. So for example if I had somehow asked the devs paid by Bitcoin Foundation to “add 1000 coins for Bruce” 1) they wouldn’t have done this / it would have been counter to our agreement 2) no miners would run that code & no nodes would recognize it. It would be a laughing stock and completely rejected. Does this mean code dev is not an attack vector? No. It’s still a risk. Particularly with nation state style actors and very careful efforts to co-opt which are much more sophisticated than “give Bruce coins” or something. This is one reason I’m cautious of Bitcoin core funding - especially from actors who’ve had bad judgment in the past. I think we should be cautious of who does the dev and view it as an attack vector. Bitcoin code is transparent and has lots of eyes on it. So in this case especially there isn’t even a solid accusation, let alone evidence that MIT directed nefarious code changes. If that was an allegation the first question should be: well what code specifically did MIT direct and what proof is there and how was it harmful? I think claims around this would collapse. There’s obviously plenty to criticize about Epstein and MIT working with him — and when it comes to digital assets MIT’s work with Gensler and especially its work on CBDCs is much more suspect than the chance that malicious code was pushed through on Bitcoin. Be cautious but this is a nothing burger

"To be honest, a lot of people project too much onto Bitcoin. Ultimately, it's just a bunch of software and anybody can use it in any way they want. Initially, it's a small subset of people that use it and then they start projecting their values onto it. And then over time, they expect it to continue to abide by that," Ammous said. "If it's a successful technology, it's going to be used by everybody. It's going to be used by small businesses, large businesses, governments, individuals. It's money. Everybody uses money. There are 8.5 billion people on Earth, they all use money and they're all going to continue to use money. And Bitcoin is just the best money." Ultimately, the protocol itself is immune to the financial instruments that TradFi has concocted. If people want to lend against their BTC or create complex financial products, that does not actually impact the underlying network. "The way that the protocol works is that it's completely blind to what you're doing with your coins on the Bitcoin blockchain there is no paper Bitcoin there's no such thing as paper Bitcoin there's only 21 million Bitcoin and every node makes sure of that every 10 minutes and then if somebody who has some of these Bitcoin on their private key decides to sell obligations or financial liabilities referring to that Bitcoin under any condition, that's their choice. It's outside of Bitcoin and it's outside of the realm of other Bitcoin users being able to say this is right or wrong and this should happen or shouldn't happen. People are going to do whatever they want with the Bitcoin, including selling access to it or exposure to it in all kinds of different ways.
