Wuthering Waves PS5 Performance Test • Test Setup PS5 Slim (brand new, clean, no dust) Room temperature: 22°C with AC • Map Issue Yes, it's real. The new map is locked to around 2 FPS when opened from the menu, making it extremely laggy. • Stuttering Problems The game has severe stuttering. In some areas, it even freezes for 4–5 seconds, making the experience frustrating. • My Observation From my testing, the game appears to be running at a very high internal resolution on PS5 instead of relying on aggressive upscaling. For example, DLSS Quality at 1440p renders the game internally at approximately 1707×960 before upscaling it to 2560×1440. On PS5, however, it looks like the game is rendering at or near 2560×1440 internally and then upscaling to 4K. If that's true, it's an extremely demanding target for a base PS5. • Is This Fixable? Yes. If the game is indeed using such a high internal resolution, lowering it and using better reconstruction or dynamic resolution scaling could significantly improve performance. Running at such a high internal resolution on a base PS5 doesn't make much sense, and the game has suffered from performance issues for nearly 12 months. • Final Thoughts Kuro Games needs to address this. At this point, we can't keep blaming players, their hardware, or the engine. If the high internal resolution is the cause, it should be adjusted. If it isn't, then something else in the game's optimization is seriously wrong. #WutheringWaves #Gacha

LOOK AT THESE! You've probably never heard of "mesovortices," but the eyes of major/intensifying hurricanes, like Category 5 Melissa, actually contain addition, smaller whirls a few miles across. Mesovortices are a few miles across; they form as a way to balance an extreme discontinuity in angular momentum. In the buzzsaw-like eyewall – that ring of winds spiraling around the eye – there's an incredible amount of extreme wind and "angular momentum." But in the eye, there's hardly any – the air is calm. That means the eyewall "chafes" against the calm eye. Since the atmosphere is a fluid, that chafing pinches off into eddies and vortices. Think about when you're kayaking or canoeing through a pond. You might notice a few whirlpools shedding off your oar as the moving oar sweeps through the stationary water. A similar premise exists here. In this case, the atmosphere handles the transition from the eyewall to the eye by having some of the fluid "curl back" on itself, forming 4, 5 to 6 smaller "mesovortices." This eye exhibited a "wavenumber 5" pattern, meaning there were five mesovortices. The mesovortices often contort the inner edge of the eyewall into a wonky "sawtooth" pattern. That means that, if you stand right near the interface, you'd have about 5 minutes of "in... out... in... out" where, despite being basically in the eye, ebbs of the eyewall could still swing through and bring you a sudden, extreme gust. Welcome to the magic of fluid dynamics in the atmosphere.

American Cattle Rancher Exposing That Beef Sold In American Grocery Stores Doesn’t Look Like Natural Beef “They pump gases into the packaging that artificially create a red color — the color of the meat doesn't necessarily indicate it's fresh” “I get a lot of questions sometimes like when people buy our meat they're like, well, I opened it up and it's not red. Why isn't it red? And the reason is, is because the only way to keep it red is as they pump gases into the packaging that artificially create a red color. So the meat naturally is never that red. When you cut it and it's first exposed to oxygen momentarily, it will bloom. It's called, it'll redden up just a little bit and then it'll instantly start to brown out unless you pump gases into the packaging for about 10 minutes and artificially create this like red pinkish color. So we get that question a lot. And it's like, they're like, your meat's not fresh because it's brown. It's like, well, actually it's way fresher. Our meat is brown because five minutes later, it turns to that brown color and then we flash freeze it. So you're like eating meat that's like metabolic at five minutes old versus that red fresh meat in the grocery store might be a month old. And it sat like that, but they're using artificial gases in that packaging to crea completely unnatural. — If your packaged meat then it is it is filled w to create that. It doesn' look like that. But like believe it or not, it's been sitting out for 11 days. So how could it still look so fresh? It's because it's being packed and gassed in a special process that most people never heard about, using carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen, which keeps the meat looking fresh and bright red. We left two cuts of lamb out at room temperature. One was gas packed, the other, no gas. After a few days, the untreated meat turns a dark, unappealing color. But the gas-packed meat stays red, even after being left out for eight days. The only visible sign of spoilage is the package puffing out and a bad odor when opened. We had the meat analyzed in a lab, and it's no surprise that both cuts are loaded with bacteria. The color of the meat doesn't necessarily indicate it's fresh”

Imagine feeling like you’re in your 20s again — no CPAP, no endless pills, boundless energy every single day. That’s exactly what happened to Dana White after 10 weeks working with Gary Brecka… and Megyn Kelly just got him to spill every detail. The crazy part? It’s not some secret peptide or $20,000 IV drip. It starts with three non-negotiables that every single Blue Zone (the places where people routinely live past 100) has in common: 1. Sleep like your life depends on it (because it does) 2. Eat only foods your great-grandmother would recognize 3. Move every single day — sitting really is the new smoking But here’s where it gets wild: once those are locked in, Brecka runs one simple cheek-swab genetic test that shows exactly which raw materials (vitamins, minerals, methylated folate, etc.) your unique body can’t convert properly. Give your body the exact nutrients it’s been begging for — often things as basic as real vitamin D3 from sunlight or a bioavailable B vitamin — and the results feel like pure magic. Restless mind at 2 a.m.? Fixed. Bloated after the same meal one day but not the next? Gone. Brain fog and zero motivation? Suddenly you’re crushing life again. This 5:49 clip of Gary laying it all out for Megyn is straight fire — zero fluff, all science, all results. If you’ve ever wondered why you’re “doing everything right” but still feel off… watch this now. Your future 20-year-old-feeling self will thank you

CSS Tip! 🍬 You can create a CSS-only sticky CTA using position: sticky or scroll-driven animations 🤙 .cta { position: sticky; margin-top: 110vh; bottom: 2rem; /* 👈 Stick! */ } This is one way 👀 This first way relies on you setting a layout on the body and putting the CTA in a zero-space part of the layout body { display: grid; grid-template-columns: auto 0; } The children of the body are an element with your content and then the CTA. You could also use display:flex too. .content { flex: 1 0 100%; } .cta { place-self: end; } As you scroll the body, the CTA comes into view and sticks in position 🙌 That's one way. If you want to take it further and do something like flip between showing or not, maybe scale it up, or add some special easing, etc. an animation is another way 📜 First, change the styles for your CTA. Note the translate property that's powered by a custom property .cta { position: fixed; bottom: 2rem; right: 2rem; translate: 0 calc(20vh - (var(--show) * 20vh)); transition: translate 0.875s var(--elastic); } Next you need a custom property that you're going to animate @property --show { inherits: true; initial-value: 0; syntax: ' '; } Lastly, you animate this value on the body. As the property value changes, the value will trickle down to the CTA @supports (animation-timeline: scroll()) { body { animation: show-cta both steps(1); animation-timeline: scroll(root); animation-range: 0 10vh; } @keyframes show-cta { to { --show: 1; } } } Using @supports you can use this as a progressive enhancement. If scroll-driven animations are supported, use them. Otherwise fallback to using position: sticky 🤙 That's it! As always, any questions or requests, hit me up! 🙏 CodePen.IO link below! 👇

Claude Code + computer use is f*cking cracked 🤯 Build a landing page → Claude opens Chrome, looks at it, spots every issue, and fixes it — without you describing a single thing. All inside Claude Code. Perfect for DTC brands and agencies who are still vibe-coding landing pages and advertorials in Claude Code, then manually opening them in Chrome, spotting 15 things wrong, and describing every visual issue back to Claude one at a time. If you're building pages in Claude Code and your workflow looks like this — build the page, open it in Chrome, spot broken spacing, go back to Claude, type "the CTA button is too low and the hero image is cut off," wait for the fix, open Chrome again, find 3 new issues, describe those too ... Claude Code + computer use eliminates the entire loop: → Claude writes the full landing page or advertorial → Opens Chrome and navigates to it → Spots layout issues, broken spacing, off-brand colors, missing elements → Fixes everything and re-checks until the page looks right → Tests your Shopify product pages by clicking through like a real customer → Walks through your checkout flow and flags friction before customers hit it → You only see the finished, visually verified result No describing what you see on screen. No "the CTA button needs more contrast" back-and-forth. No being the eyeballs for an AI that can't see. What you get: → Landing pages and advertorials Claude builds AND visually QAs before you ever look at them → Product pages Claude clicks through — testing layout, images, and CTAs like a real user → HTML dashboards Claude opens and verifies the charts actually render → Checkout flows Claude walks through step by step to catch friction → All of it happening in one session — build, test, fix, done One prompt. Claude builds it, checks it, and fixes it. You just review the finished page. I put together a full playbook with the exact setup, the prompts, and 5 DTC workflows that use Claude Code + computer use. Want it for free? > Like this post > Comment "CLAUDE" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)

FORGET MY PREVIOUS POST, LET ME BLOW YOUR MINDS! 🤯NEW METHOD! AI 2D SPRITES ARE SOLVED. PERIOD. Day 50 of building a webGL game engine using Cursor 🔽🔽🔽 I was wrong. The previous system had flaws. It wasn't the best. If you use it on VFX heavy sprites, it would start falling apart - either via grain/artifacts, or displacement. But I just couldn't give up. I knew I needed something more. This was the limit the models could give me. So I consulted science: Zheng et al., "Bilateral Reference for High-Resolution Dichotomous Image Segmentation" (CAAI AIR 2024, arXiv:2401.03407) - BiRefNet If any of the brilliant minds who wrote this paper read this post, I'm extremely thankful for your research. It made me solve a really big problem with 2D sprites, and I'm extremely grateful! Thank you! Please reach out if you see this! Now, how does this solution work: 1⃣ Generate your Kling animation (still king for anime 2D style). 2⃣ Run BiRefNet (HR-matting variant rocks) → get solid character alpha. 3⃣ Compute simple brightness/luminance alpha (luma → alpha curve, easy in any tool). 4⃣ Final alpha = max(BiRefNet_alpha, brightness_alpha) — that's it. No fancy weights needed. 5⃣ Feed to your engine / Comfy / whatever. Dynamic lights now play nice with zero artifacts. Mind you, this solution requires an nVidia GPU to run local inference. Alternatively, you can get it done on Colab likely with the free tier! You can try CPU, but no guarantees. Try a lighter model like BiRefNet_lite-2K. Demo is purposely in 30 fps even though I wouldn't run an anime 2D game above 12 fps - for both style and performance. Just wanted to show you the absolute results. Please bookmark this! ☑️ If you love 2D and sprite work, this is truly the best way, the best method I could find. Use it, steal it. Enjoy it! Repost if it saves your workflows too! I think I need a break... almost 40 hours straight solving this. Next are dynamic shadows, and I'm not looking forward to that...

Jordan Peterson on how to know if someone is right for you: 1. Living together first doesn't protect you. the evidence points the other way. people who live together are more likely to get divorced, not less. 2. the real test isn't love. it's whether you can negotiate. you should know someone long enough to know you two can tell each other the truth and negotiate. that's the most important part of a relationship. 3. so talk about the boring things. who buys the groceries. who pays the bills. who cooks and when. who does which chores and is it laid out fair. you either sit down like a conscious, articulate couple and negotiate it, or you bring your unconscious assumptions in and clash where they don't match. 4. attraction still matters. if you have that massive erotic attraction, you're unbelievably fortunate and you should do everything you can to maintain it. but that takes real effort and will. and you have to ally it with maturity. what does this look like at the level of detail. money. where you live. careers. children. in-laws. 5. commitment comes first, not after. unless you've made a lifetime commitment, one you're not going to back out of, you won't take the relationship seriously enough to make it high quality. an idea he took from reading carl jung. "shackled together" is a cynical way of putting it. it's more like an unbreakable bond that makes both people better. 6. the hard part is telling the truth. and the truth is generally a horrible thing. it's easy to tell the truth when everyone wants to hear what you have to say. it's very difficult when no one wants to hear it, least of all yourself. 7. you're braiding one rope. you have the strands of your life, your partner has theirs, and you tie them together into something stronger. then you undertake massive adventures. a household. joint careers. each other's mental and physical health. kids. all of it very, very challenging. 8. marriage and child rearing get a bad rap in our culture and he thinks that's a catastrophe. even if you're highly career oriented, that's two thirds of your life. his house has been a sanctuary, and that's part of why he's been effective at work. 9. and it decides your second half. he's 55. both his kids just got engaged in the same month. he might have 40 more years, and now there are grandchildren coming. all that negotiating early is what buys you something to advance into.
