Big shoutout to @HardThreadCo for the super comfortable and durable shirts for work. I love them 🤍

facts

🫡

literally just learn how to do anything, i built this live edge epoxy desk back in 2020 when i needed something to work from home on. there’s so much satisfaction in making something with your own two hands. nice work on the work bench!

This is great girl!!!

Facts! I wish I learned some construction. I only know how to build guns. 😅

Just as cool or cooler lmao

This is why I love @MaryTilesTexas. Everyone should learn the basics and practice to get the skills down. In this case, I’m building a frame with sliding doors for a medicine cabinet. I don’t have much space but it’s not going to stop me from building things.

Yeah!!!

I work on software all day, and when that stops I get out the tools and work on something with my hands. Like this lovely dagger and scabbard:

This is sick 😂😂😂

There's your Halloween costume. Already have the blonde hair, just gotta destroy the O-Zone a little

Stay Strong My Friend 🫡💪💯

Trying in this heat 😭😂

Is this for your "Tile Installation For Dummies" setup in your garage?

That’s right 🤪🤪🤪

Don't use your own money building this. Add a little bit more money to each job you do. And let your customers pay for it. The same with materials. Add a couple extra pieces of board or 1 more bag of thinset to each job.

I hope you reached your goal of $300 to make the stage, i've got one and a shop for content. I sent $30 and shared the post. Haven't heard anything so best wishes. I got smoked yesterday.

Yes I did!!! Thank you!! I am building everything I’m so exhausted sorry I haven’t been on here much it’s so hot here 😂

Meant tile. Damn auto correct

You time layers and your dang buckets! Get saw horses already brah!😂

You inspire me. I’m a 44 year old female and trades like plumbing and tiling wasn’t something women did when I graduated high school in 2001. I wanted to be an electrician. Now at 44 I’m using my hands to create things and it’s my calling. Keep inspiring women.

Awww thank you 🤍

You are impressive. I don’t have the patience or skill. I would love to be able to mitre, cut and modify things at my home. I measure like 6 times and still need to double check that before cutting an angle. Not my skillset. Good that I can hire people to do that work.

Sometimes I am not great at it for sure 😂

Life is a journey of growth. Rarely does one ever reach perfection. 🥰

Mary this maybe a strange question but do you dip? Or chew in some places lol

Nope I’ve tried it, not for me hahaha my dad used to

I was showing my buddy at work your tile work and this video and he saw your name and assumed you dipped lol we bet lunch every Monday for the week and over stupid stuff so I bet him you didn’t! So thanks you are a great women lol we will be eating at Texas Roadhouse for the week

Totally agree, your so happy to see the result after work!

🤍🤍🤍

“Mary works with wood in Texas”, just does not sound as good as “Mary Tiles Texas” Looks like you know what you are doing with both. How are your plumbing skills?

Dang! Good job

Are you basically self taught??

Not fully no, I’ve been taught a lot of things. My family all does construction and my dad basically can build anything. But a lot yes lol

I’m very impressed what little that means you do great work

Keep doing it Mary 💪

Good girl. When I do stuff like that I have 2 drills - one to drill countersink pilot holes and another with a screwdriver bit. Saves a heck of a lot of time.

..but do you have a little pony 🐎 sawhorse?

Very nice, very cute.🥰

Congratulations, you are clever.👍

🤍🤍

LETS GOOOOO. I build apps but I also do home improvement with my hands. I can tell you working with your hands is some of the most rewarding work you’ll do.

Jeepers Miss. Tie back that hair🤯😬

We live in a society when a women posts trade videos the internet cries AI

Amazing and beautiful! 🤩

That involves getting dirty and safety training though The average person can’t handle wielding tools that can literally kill you

💯

One thing I wish I could do was working with wood. Sadly, that skill skipped me. I can put barbecues together like no one can.
Mine is one of those buy your own lumber kits

So good to see you , Ms Mary, I hadnt seen ya in a hot minute. Been touching grass. Lol. I do hope you have been well, dear!

PREACH! AMEN!

You are exactly right 70 year old general contractor retired 🫡

Damn straight it is.
