I feel weird even bringing this up, but here we go. Subscriptions are open on my page. There is no graceful way to say that, so please take this with a kind heart. I know a lot of people are struggling financially, and I don’t want anyone stretching themselves for me. I have a great job. I’m just letting people know it exists because some of you asked. I’m not even saying I’m worth the money. I’ll be honest, I’m not the best person to subscribe to. I’m not an OnlyFans girl, I’m not teaching you how to get monetized, I’m not running a masterclass in anything. The subscriber section is literally just more personal, everyday stuff. It’s boring in a comforting way. You’re not missing anything. If you ever feel like hanging out with me on the quieter side of this app, it’s there. If not, all good. I just wanted to put it out there for anyone who might be interested. Pro tip: if you subscribe to anyone, please do it on a browser. If you do it through the Apple Store or the Google store, they take 30% and put it in their pocket. Those companies are rich enough. I have a real problem with them getting any money or subscribers. I didn’t know that when I first started subscribing to people. PS: if you are a current subscriber or a new subscriber, please go to my homepage and click on the subs tab. I post content there, but it doesn’t automatically show up in your feed. PPS: Please don’t be nasty to me in the comments if you don’t want to subscribe. I’m not a mean person. I can’t think of a humble way to tell people. This wasn’t easy for me to write.

Perrie admits she’s “frustrated” by how Jesy Nelson has portrayed the breakdown of her relationship with Little Mix, adding that she feels the group consistently tried supporting Jesy at the cost of their own mental health, and that accountability should be taken on all sides: “Sometimes you just won’t win with people. And what annoys me the most… I have to be careful how I say this because I don’t want to seem like a bitch… But what upsets me the most when situations like this happen is when the other person doesn’t take any accountability. That boils my blood. I’m not blaming everything on you [Jesy]. I’m not saying, ‘She’s this fucking monster and everything was her fault’ and blah blah blah. But take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult. You did have difficult moments. Granted, there were reasons for those moments... but you can only pick somebody up so many fucking times before you start losing track of your own sanity. You want to be there for that person, but if they can’t accept the help and they can’t accept the love you’re trying to show, how do you win? You can’t. I hate that. I don’t like putting the blame on people. Don’t put the blame on me and make me out to be something that I’m not. Yes, I’m not perfect. I might not have been there enough, or I could have done better I suppose… but I thought what I was doing was enough. I thought I’d tried everything. So to then sit there in further interviews and discuss it publicly and be like, ‘I wasn’t supported’… You were, though. You were. So just take some accountability and I’ll feel better about it. I’d say [I’m] more frustrated than angry, because I don’t like being painted into a person that I’m not. Because I’m an open book, I have to be real. It exhausts me when I see people that I know inside and out not being genuine. It frustrates me.”

It’s been a year since the company I helped start shut down. It was one of those ideas that felt truly “net-positive” for the world, and truly helped people on a personal level. So, over this last year I worked on 2 things — searching for an idea that feels net-positive and something people could connect with on a deep, personal level. That led me to build + launch 2 apps at the beginning of the year: 1. Lyrics: Daily Music Widget - an app that shows you song lyrics from your favorite artists, right on your home screen 2. one year - another app that shows how many days of growth you’ve had in a year Both of these apps had their ups and downs, but they made me realize some pretty cool things: - I want my apps to feel great to use - I want me apps to do one thing really well - I want my apps to feel like a human made them - and, I want my apps to always be made with other people So, two months ago I took those concepts, went to visit in SF, and started on an idea that I truly felt could change the way people live their daily lives. And, it’s launching today. This is Find Your Faith, an iPhone app that helps you discover a spiritual path that resonates with you, or helps you dive deeper into a faith you already practice. We started this as a way to help us with our own spiritual journeys. We wanted to explore different faiths in a way that was authentic to us. The beauty about spirituality is there is no deadline on when you should “figure out what you believe in” lol. It’s really something to check in on during the different seasons of your life. And, there isn’t just one way to do it. Some people may enjoy reading religious text, or others may prefer being in the presence of something greater than them. At the end of the day, these are just ways to give yourself the space to explore really tough questions and concepts. That’s what Find Your Faith (or fyf) does — helps you understand where you are on your journey, no matter where you may be, and gives you the space to sit in these questions every day. This is just the beginning for us, and hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed building it :).

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.

Good morning Oscar; I’ve been pondering on how to respond to these screenshots without context and eh; I am totally out of words. 1. Crown has been in school for EIGHT terms, you have paid for two and mostly on condition that you know where I stay, or act positive to your sexual advances or other random that fit your narrative then. Refusing to comply would mean no support. And that I was totally okay without financial support from you. 2. Don’t lie on my dad’s name like that. You almost broke my little brother’s hand fighting for crown in front of both of them. You have insulted my parents to their faces more than once and you are shocked that my dad isn’t besties with you. 3. Oscar, you paid that 1.2M after not talking to your child for a year. How are you shocked that she was in a different school and her school fees paid???? You sat in that meeting and said you are comfortable with crown in fort portal, she went to fort portal and then you got angry???😂😂 4. You can’t do the bare minimum like ask about your child’s school. You know crowns school, if you were intentional; you’d know that it is among the TOP THREE schools in fort portal. You can’t fail to consistently pay 1.2M for school fees, then refuse to pay 850,000 and then fight to pay 2.5M. How does that make sense??? 5. You have both my dad’s numbers, mom’s numbers, grand mom, aunty, twin brother. My dad told you, his home is ALWAYS open for you to visit your child. If you wanted to see your child, you would, but of course, please use me as your excuse. My family called for a meeting, you sat and agreed to terms that you couldn’t comply to thereafter and somehow I am to blame for your deadbeat tendencies?? 6. You want to have “full access” but won’t do the bare minimum to achieve that. You are angry that you showed up to my house at 10PM and no one opened? You are angry that you said “I love when you are sweet to me” because I was polite and I blue ticked you???? You are mad because I said crown needed consistency?? Be for real! 7. Crown used to call you, and you wouldn’t pick, she would reach out and never hear from you, you made crown pack a suitcase twice and wouldn’t show up and communicate. I don’t have to tell your child one single thing about you, never have, to her, you are a good person, she will make prayers for you, and ask God that one day you’ll call her, and yet, you never do that. 8. When I was still staying with crown, I welcomed you into my home, I even told you, I’ll make sure I’m not in the house when you are visiting and will come back after crowns sleeping hours. Just go, bond and do homework, put her to bed. You did that for three weeks, you then started showing up late in the night, not doing the homework, and being sexual. 9. YOU ARE A DEADBEAT FATHER!!!! The worst kind actually because you even have the audacity to try and make it look okay. I won’t be doing a back and forth with you, you are a very bad person. And No, I’m not happy that my child isn’t without her biological dad, but I’ll say this again, she is GOOD!!!! I work hard for that reason. My parents numbers will always be available if you want to visit or see her, you know my home where she is. But that said; you don’t pay school fees, you don’t offer support, you don’t check on her, you don’t pick her calls. I won’t be doing this back and forth with you, you are a deadbeat!!!! And like I told you; GO TO COURT AND HAND IN THESE SCREENSHOTS WITH THEIR CONTEXT!!! I would absolutely absolutely LOVE THAT!!!!🫱🏿‍🫲🏾🫱🏿‍🫲🏾🫱🏿‍🫲🏾🫱🏿‍🫲🏾

This is gonna be so long omg but when it comes to translating in Korean, it’s very very important to take in consideration of 1) Culture 2) Seniority, the Closeness & Intimacy of the people involved in a conversation. Because this gives an entire different vibe for the context. And we have to keep in mind that there are Korean phrases and expressions that simply don’t have just One way, exact words that can be translated in English. Translators can find ways to convey the meaning, but it requires more explanation and understanding of the context while conveying it, and not relying on assumptions. How about “인상 덜 쓰기” or “인상 쓰다“ then? Here, a direct translation can simply be 인상 덜 쓰기 - be less grumpy/ frown less, etc 인상 쓰다 - being grumpy, frown, make a face, etc Here, I include an educational video of an English speaker talking with a Korean speaker where they’re discussing a similar expression, “인상 좀 쓰지마!“ (which in word by word in English, it sounds something like “Don’t frown/ Don’t make a face”) Now, as an English speaker, that sounds a bit harsh doesn’t it? That’s because such expression doesn’t exist in just One interpretation in English, so if we only read it as it is, without considering the context and the speakers’ closeness, we’re bound to misunderstand the context. Quoting some parts of this video, 💚: “Now, Tyler’s expression for today is ‘인상 좀 쓰지마!’. Have you ever heard of this expression? 🩶: I’ve heard something like that before 💚: Then doesn’t this mean there’s a same expression in English too right? 🩶: Oh! I’ve only heard it in Korea 💚: Ah really? The guy then explained that if you say something like this in english, it can be rude. so it’s better not to say it in English-speaking countries. He gave examples like “If you do that, you’ll get wrinkles”, and the other guy added something like “If you make an ugly face, you’ll have wrinkles” and said that “If someone (an English speaker) hears this they would think I must be crazy” Here, they’re talking about the cultural differences. A phrase like this, when expressed directly, without considering people’s closeness, and being translated exactly like that, would sound so negative to English speakers. *also notice how this phrase is being worded in various ways??? ‘HOW’ it can sound to someone, really depends on their culture, their closeness with the person, and context* So later on, he gave a few more examples like, “stop making such a long face”, and “stop wrinkling your forehead”. And concluded that: 💚: Well in that case, the phrase “인상 좀 쓰지마” is basically a phrase that doesn’t exist in English. 🩶: It’s an expression that we don’t use. It’s not that it doesn’t exist. (This part, he’s explaining that there’s no such a thing as word by word to explain this phrase in English, bcs we English speakers use different wordings that is more suitable for a situation’s nuances.) Then again, we have to consider speakers’ closeness as well because in Korea, it’s a huge thing. If you don’t understand how this works, you won’t understand the nuances of a conversation. You’re bound to misunderstand. If you refuse to understand it then, I don’t think you want to respect their culture. Because again, this is a huge thing.

Last week I booked a last-minute flight and stay in Cabo less than 12 hours to take-off because I was freezing my ass off at home, feeling like a “hostage” to the market. I forgot my swimming trunks and had to buy 2 of them for an eye-watering $450 USD (still wtf’ing at Grand Velas boutique)… And STILL, it was much cheaper than sitting around grinding it out when the market wasn’t there for me. Trading is one of the few professions where you can literally lose vacations/cars/houses etc AND, more importantly, TIME simultaneously while “working”. And so, I often think to myself if I’m so willing to part ways with my trading PNL, then why not just spend that on something tangible. I remember one of my biggest losing days in 2021, I decided to just buy the watch I wanted instead of waiting to feel “good” about my PNL. Our perspectives warp when we stare at numbers and desensitize ourselves to the true ups and downs. Whenever I spend the money it grounds me, “this is what this is worth”. Whenever I’m able to tip generously, especially in areas where the dollar goes farther, I feel more connected to my pursuit of trading for a living. Serendipitously making someone’s day with an outlier tip is one of my favorite things to do. Extremely hard working people who don’t get appreciated often, meanwhile we lose their salaries in pajamas… it’s madness. I just want to point out that I know people feel it, but don’t act on it. Try to exercise some of your freedoms as a trader and realize it’s okay to step away whenever you want and you don’t need permission to just do what you want when you want. You’ll probably come to so similar conclusions for yourself.
