We’ve been playing songs from “Silvertone” now for 46 years. "Silvertone" was my first studio album, and it marked the official beginning of my recording career. Thanks to Erik Jacobsen (who showed me how to make a record), all the great musicians who have played these songs with me, and everyone else who has been on this journey. I’m starting to learn all the lyrics!

Just listen to how happy the children are. You live a much better lifestyle, yet instead of supporting this initiative that will provide proper meals to these children, you choose to criticize. Shame on you.

I just spoke with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to reaffirm the strength of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation in many areas, including defense. We already have many successful joint projects and must do even more this year to strengthen our two nations. In many ways, our partnership is critical for regional security, Black Sea security, and, on a global scale, food security. I am personally grateful to President Erdogan and Türkiye for supporting our efforts on Ukraine's maritime export corridor. Our corridor has already passed over 14 million cargoes and 500 vessels. This is a significant economic, security, and geopolitical achievement. We demonstrate that, despite all existing threats, we can restore security to our region. The strength of our partnership strengthens our entire region. President Erdogan and I also discussed the upcoming Peace Formula meeting of advisors in Davos. I invited Türkiye's representative to attend. Every country that participates in these joint efforts—at the level of advisors now and the leaders’ level later—will be proving how important it is to make international law work. We paid special attention to the Peace Formula item on returning all illegally detained persons, specifically Ukrainian children stolen by Russians, captives, and all those repressed in occupied territories, including Crimea. Türkiye's mediation is critical to ensuring the release of Crimean Tatars and everyone else held captive in Russia, including adults and children, warriors and civilians.

Mark Zuckerberg on the importance of engineers if you’re building a technology company “We never thought about ourselves as a website or a social network or anything like that.” Mark believes many companies define themselves too narrowly: “It’s one of the things I observed as soon as I came out to [Silicon] Valley. All these companies that called themselves technology companies were not really set up that way. The CEO wasn’t technical. The board of directors had no one technical on it… And it’s like alright, if that’s your team, then you’re not a technology company.” He believes there’s a balance: “You don’t want everyone to be an engineer because there’s other things that matter too. But if you don’t have a high enough share of the company as engineers, then you’re not a technology company.” This makes sense when you view it in the context of Mark’s strategy for Meta: “I define our strategy as: If we can learn faster than every other company, we’re going to win. The best thing about these podcasts is they have on activists who didn’t get the memo says the quiet part out loud. Anti-Poverty Centre activist Kristin O’Connell thinks the Greens’ tax campaigns are wrong because they do not go far enough. She wants to tax billionaires and fossil fuel companies “out of existence” and tax income more. We know, Kristin. That’s what they also want to do. They are just clever enough not to say it out loud. The thing about that is upper tail of wealth tends to follow a Pareto distribution. You can reshuffle the deck, but over time unequal outcomes re-emerge because people differ in talent, aptitude, discipline, risk appetite, timing, luck and the ability to create value. A society with rule of law, property rights and entrepreneurs will create rich people. It will also create wealth for everyone else. The only way to tax billionaires “out of existence” is to remove the conditions for any wealth creation at all. How many times do we have to learn that lesson?

First of all, it's such an honor and a joy to be here and have the chance to see so many of my respected seniors and colleagues whom I only get to meet at events like this. Earlier, while watching the nominees for Best Drama, I felt incredibly proud because two of the nominated works were projects I had the privilege of being part of. That made me think of all the wonderful people I worked with. Now that I think about it, I'll accept this award as recognition for all the hard work that went into You and Everything Else, The Price of Confession, and Yumi's Cells. At this moment, I'm reminded of all the senior actors and actresses who have worked with me. I've been incredibly fortunate to work alongside such amazing seniors. I was able to follow them, learn from them, and grow because of them. Someday, I hope I can become that kind of senior for someone else. Jihyun, Jaewon, thank you so much. Haesoo sunbaenim, thank you. To our directors and writers... And to my family and friends who are probably watching right now, thank you so, so much. I love you.
