This is one of the harder aspect of coaching. Developing a naming system that the players can remember, and remember the small details of the play. The more you do on offense or defense the more your players have to master.

It is learning a new/different language & the QB has to be fluent! You can do so many variations to a relatively simple play w/ a call or tag that is simple, effective & easy to learn for that position(s). Another wrinkle in the system is to call two plays/1 called & 1 signaled
