"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was a simple study based on that theory ... I picked up a book at random, opened it, saw "gently weeps", then laid the book down again and started the song." Says the legendary George Harrison about the song. Harrison wrote "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" after his return from India, where the Beatles had been studying Transcendental Meditation under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi during the spring of 1968. The visit had allowed Harrison to re-engage with the guitar as his primary instrument, after focusing on the Indian sitar for the previous two years, and also marked the start of a prolific period for him as a songwriter. Inspiration for the song came to him when he was visiting his parents in Warrington, Cheshire, and he began reading the I Ching, or "The Book of Changes". As Harrison put it, "[the book] seemed to me to be based on the Eastern concept that everything is relative to everything else, as opposed to the Western view that things are merely coincidental." Embracing this idea of relativism, he committed to writing a song based on the first words he saw upon opening a book, which happened to be "gently weeps". Harrison continued to work on the lyrics after this initial writing session. During a ride from Surrey into London, Harrison asked Clapton to play guitar on the track. Stephanopoulos was repeatedly told by his executive producer not to use the word rape before going on air, but the ABC News anchor ignored the warning this week's producer, because he said this on a Sunday show said don't use the word rape. A second source at the show listen to this confirmed via a text message viewed by the Post that Stephanopoulos was warned not to say rape. So this post has since some sort of text message in which a second source somehow confirms that George was told not to say rape. I don't want to hear one more word from anybody about why did ABC News settle? You know, people think they had a shot at winning. He was accused of killing two girls, Betty (age 11) and Mary (age 7). The bodies were found near the house where George lived with his parents. Before his execution, George spent 81 days in prison before he was ever able to see his parents. He spent this time in solitary confinement, in a jail 80 miles from the city. He was questioned without the presence of his parents or a lawyer. His trial lasted only 2 hours, and the sentence was handed down 10 minutes later. The boy's parents were not allowed in the court room, and was subsequently expelled from that city after the trial. During his trial & until the day of his execution, George always carried a Bible in his hands. On the day of his execution, they used the Bible he was carrying as a booster seat because he was too short for the adult sized electric chair. 70 years after his execution, a judge in South Carolina finally overruled George's conviction. It was determined that the beam used in the murder, which weighed more than 19.07 kilograms, would have been too large for George to lift. There was no way he could have used it to strike the victims. ‘The Green Mile’ by Stephen King was inspired by George's case.

The singer was arriving by car at Wembley Stadium in London to perform one of his concerts (he was one of the first artists to perform at the newly renovated Wembley) As he tried to enter through the back gate with his crew, a very serious and confident security guard blocked his way. The guard, leaning into the car window, insisted: “I’m sorry, I’d recognize him a mile away, and that’s not George Michael.” George, sitting in the back seat, couldn’t stop laughing. The guard remained completely convinced that he was an imposter and even asked for identification before letting him through. A member of George’s team had to step in to pull the guard aside and explain the situation. In the video recorded for the documentary *George Michael: Road to Wembley*, George is seen cracking up and saying, “This is brilliant,” as he mimics the guard: “I’d recognize him a mile away, and that’s not George Michael.” He later said it was one of the best stories that had ever happened to him, comparable to when a doorman in Birmingham told him, “I don’t care if you’re Frank Sinatra, you’re not getting in.” It was a moment of pure comedy that shows just how ironic fame can be.
