This can be an issue for autistic people; it can be difficult when they say exactly what they meant and neurotypicals are trying to “read” more than that because they have a different language if you like.. tone or facial expressions don’t always line up with intent. 1/2

So true! Years ago before our first trip to Europe friends suggested avoiding France - "people are so rude!" But our experience was the opposite. We met many wonderful locals and loved our time there so much we extended and did an unscripted road trip - highlight of the trip!
