and this wont even get much attention, cus algorithms only pick up something thats evil. oh how much i hate this world

shaming her is fucked up but calling it out and telling women and girls this is unhealthy is not! you can't shield a global artists at the expense of the health of her impressionable fan base

not to mention never once has she marketed her body or claimed to be a beacon of health and wellness, the only time shes even MENTIONED her body or health is in response to moments like this, so saying shes “advertising eds” by simply living is adding such an unnecessary (1/2)

She said all of that and quite literally said nothing of relevance that we didn’t all know. Her actively making this actually about herself and completely ignoring that Ariana is not just any other girl is typical delulu white woman nonsense. Ariana is a celebrity with one of the biggest social media followings on the planet. It’s not criticism of her or her body, it is concern for what’s happening to her and how that translates for the millions of people who follow her. WHAT IS NOT CLICKING IN Y’ALLS HEADS!?

Like she’s struggling and people are saying she’s tryna get young girls to have Ed’s like what???

@TinyAriXo yesss when she called out the other dietitian, WHY ARE YOU ADDING TO IT THATS NOT PROFESSIONAL

Why does this woman argue as if the public pointing out that Ariana doesn't look well and pushing her team to help her is the same as "shaming a woman's body?"

I think this lady says that people are blaming Ariana, which I’m sure some people are doing, but for me personally I’m moreso shaming the people that allowed her to go on tour, and the people who are instead PRAISING her appearance and saying she’s “glowing”

No offense, but this is just ranting. You have two separate problems: a person with ED who needs help, and the impact of ED on younger generations when they see a celebrity with ED described as having a “toned body” on social media.

She’s right but it is still harmful to young girls even if it wasn’t Ariana’s intent.

Eating disorders are not necessarily caused by trauma lol good thing she’s not a psychologist

She’s a public figure as someone ACTIVELY disordered she’s a grown woman with SO many supporters systems and access to doctors and help and she’s not getting it. It’s not shame people are worried because she is DYING in front of everyone.

having an ED doesn’t make her opinion more valid than a professional one. If it does, as someone who had it BAD : the body shes pushing 4 media affects culture which affects young people. ignoring someone dying in front of us is no better than “haters” “commenting on her body”.

It isn’t true that eating disorders are always a way to cope with trauma. Genetic causes: anorexia nervosa can run in families. Physical causes: brain chemistry. Also cultural pressure.

the problem is mainly that she is a worldwide famous pop star whose team is not doing anything to help her. she is not in the condition to keep working and making music and going on tour but they’re literally just exploiting her. she clearly needs help

finally someone who is actually a professional talking about this, there shouldn’t be anybody discussing her body, but if there is at least let it be a professional, all the people who claim to know ab eds but still go out of their way to shame ariana are either dumb or lying

Well said! I’ve been saying this, yet some people still think it’s ok to shame her or think they have the right to diagnose her. From getting to know Ari over the years, she is genuinely one of the sweetest in the industry, so I really hope she’s surrounded by nothing but love & support. Having the world make assumptions about your health & body can’t be easy.

That’s great, but unfortunately, she is out there in the public with one of the biggest followings, and a lot of them are young girls. She also has access to support and care if she is unwell that most people don’t who might be following her and trying to look like her.

I do agree, but at the same time if the girl DOES have an ED and his close circle has not been supporting her, at the very LEAST i hope that this serves as a wakeup call for them. Specially now that we know she cancelled all activities after the tour

@pr_chain Yo this woman brags about her own knowledge, says u can tell Ariana has an eating disorder by looking at her and says Ariana needs help and support. Then she goes on to criticise other people for saying the same thing. How is this woman different to anyone else on social media?

Oh so this video is saying “maybe she has an ED but maybe not, not really our business” which is great but what should we be saying that she looks beautiful? Because if we tell her she looks beautiful when she looks like that it’s not really the best message to send either is it

She said a whole lotta nothing. Sounds like she just wanted to talk about her experience as if that’s how every one with an ED feels. I’ve actually seen more people with an ED talk about how manipulative they were and liked when ppl said they looked too small.

Girl shut up. As someone who suffered from under eating it was seeing bodies like hers that didn’t help. She is a grown woman and knows what she’s doing. She also has a responsibility to her fan base not to tell them she’s the healthiest she has ever been. She chose the spotlight. She asked for the responsibility. And if when I started starving myself there were people calling out the people I thought looked amazing then maybe I would have seen things differently.

Who is shaming her? Maybe I’m not on that side of twitter. It’s just pushback for when she says she’s healthy, so the new trend of extreme thinness we’re seeing isn’t further normalized.

I mean, I’ve pretty much only just seen people say why are people not helping her? Why is she not getting help? She’s clearly getting worse. She should’ve been helped long ago. She’s been dangerously skinny for a long time.

She said a bunch of nothing as someone who dealt with Eds on both spectrum; big then skinny, provide tips, hotlines, websites! on how to be a better you when it comes to food, give resources

@bradleyberdecia i’ve been saying this like why do we think shaming her and calling her a skeleton is gonna make her get better???

Neither is ignoring this & normalizing turning a blind eye. Celebrities are rich & have access to support & medical help, her fans don’t have access to same resources. Being a public figure comes with responsibilities, enabling the harm this does to young girls is not ok.

“Stop assuming” but in the same breath assumes she has an ED and then yall wonder why no one take yall seriously

wow, the people in these comments clearly don't have any comprehension skills or empathy. Shaming someone into submission doesn't help. If you care sm about her, then dismantle the beauty standards placed on women, stop body shaming people. actually do some good for once

the issue is that ariana has said that she’s never been healthier which we can clearly see is just not true. thats why the conversation continues

see THIS is how u show proper concern without making sick jokes or comparing her to something vile.

The fact of the matter is she clearly needs help and glossing over that isn't helpful either, I hope she gets the help she needs

Really

yeah as someone whose been actively recovering from a ED, this woman is 100% full of shit.
