This country was set up with 3 branches to balance each other’s powers. Removing that would be catastrophic to our system. Our system of lifelong judges doesn’t make sense either, but this would set a horrific precedent after any election.

We cannot play politics with the rule of law; lawmakers cannot go against a Supreme Court ruling. So despite all of the drama that surrounded the removal of contraventions, we have stood our ground. There cannot be exceptions to a sweeping ruling. Tradefair in particular cannot be an exception. As a state, we took stock and we did what we had to do for the overriding good of society. This was part of my conversation while on AriseTV This Morning Show earlier today. #ThisIsLagos
