She expressed disappointment in the march leaders, accusing them of following a “script” in what she described as a war. According to Victoria, the initial plan was to shut down all foreign-owned spaza shops until Mazwi Kubheka is found. However, she claims the leaders instead chose to march, dance, and submit a memorandum. Victoria added that she and her team from the Patriotic Alliance managed to close some shops, but were eventually outnumbered after what she described as a “protection fee gang” arrived to defend the foreign shop owners.
