Le'Veon Bell says Ryan Clark kept talking trash his NFL rookie year, until he ran him over during practice “He was on my head my rookie year. So we're doing rookie minicamp, and the veterans are watching. I'm hearing him talking, ‘Hey bro, he running high. He better get them pads down, because when the vets come out there, we gonna be lighting you up.’ He’s talking crazy” “At the time, I'm a rookie. I ain't scared, but I don't know. I'm like, ‘Damn, maybe this dude is crazy.’ I ain't talking crazy back. I'm like, ‘Alright, we gonna see when the pads get on.’ Ain’t nobody ever shown me. I done played Little League, middle school, high school, college. Ain't nobody ever came to me crazy like, ‘Hey bro, I'm gonna knock your head off, and I ain't nothing you can do about it’” “He said that in rookie minicamp. OTAs come, now the vets are out there. We doing OTAs, they tagging off, and he's still talking. ‘Oh bro, I can't wait till the pads get on. I can't wait till the pads get on.’ In my head, I'm thinking, ‘I can't wait till the pads get on either. You think it's gonna be sweet, and I'm telling you it's not’” “Now training camp come. Day one go by, day two go by. We got helmets and shorts on. Third day come, we got our pads on. Fourth day, it's our first live practice. I'll never forget it. It was team run. The offensive line made a nice little hole for me. It was perfect. I had a perfect one-on-one” “This happened in a split moment. I'm thinking, this is practice, and I remember you was talking crazy in rookie minicamp and OTAs. I'm not about to make no move right now. I'm about to lower my head. I'm about to run you over. I'm about to make my point right now. I'm gonna show you all that little ‘running high’ stuff” “I literally made a little move, looked right at him, and ran him over. Everybody was hyped. I literally got up, went back to the huddle. I ain't talk crazy, because at the end of the day I'm like, Yeah bro, all that stuff you was talking, I tried to tell you”

LeBron James says he wishes he could walk into a movie theater or take his daughter to an amusement park like everyone else "I wish I could sometimes just walk into a movie theater right before the lights go off. Or just go to an amusement park. My daughter wants to go to amusement parks all the time. I'm like, 'Babe, I love you, it's not gonna happen. The nanny will take you.' Yeah, it's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna be able to enjoy myself, and then it weirds my daughter out too." "But it's cool, man. I find times to be able to do things that I still like to do. It's not like I'm sheltered. I'm not sitting here crying for help, saying, 'Please come help me get out of the house.' I love my life, bro. I'll take care of my family, my family takes care of me. We find moments where we can still enjoy life. And I wouldn't trade it for the world"

Iman Shumpert said his brother and financial advisor took half of every paycheck to keep him from going broke. Iman Shumpert: I ain't make 400 million like they making now. Shannon Sharpe: Right. Iman Shumpert: You know what I'm saying? But it's like, I was broke. I remember broke. Yeah. Probably a month into when I first my rookie year, a month in. Shannon Sharpe: Mhm. Iman Shumpert: So, I'm probably two, three checks in. Looking at my account, I can't go broke. It's no way I'm going broke. But the difference was, one, my brother always, him and my financial advisor have been taking half my check the whole time. So, I never knew how much money I had. I just thought what I got in Bank of America. You know what I'm saying? I don't know why I told you that, y'all scamming.

Jeff Teague says he found $50,000 in a bag of college gear during a recruiting visit. He went home with $1,000 "And the coach was like, 'Yeah, I got some gear for you, but let me go out, I got to go real quick.' He leave the room. We looking through the gear… it's like $50,000." "I look at my coach like, man, my heart beating fast. I ain't never had no money. I'm like, 'Coach…' He really had no money either. He like, 'You coming here or what?' I'm like, 'I gotta ask my mom.' He like, 'No. This where you need to be.'" "So he looked at me and he was like, 'They ain't gonna tell on us, man.' I ain't gonna lie, he took about $10,000. I'm scared. I'm like, damn, what they gonna do, tell on us?" "He was like, "I'm gonna give you $1,000 when we get in the car." "And when I got older I started thinking about it like, this bum… Hey. You gave me $1,000. It was the whole other $49,000. I seen him the other day. I'm still mad at him about that."

"I'm not gonna waste my time learning jiu-jitsu over these few weeks, and you haven't wasted your time becoming a better striker. I know that your confidence comes from your jiu-jitsu. Here's the thing, I'm not gonna let you grab me, bro. That's it. If you shoot for my legs, bro, guess what I'm doing? I'm tapping. See you later. You ain't gonna strangle me, bro." @warrenspencer_ talks his game plan going into his fight with Dillon Danis.

I asked Paul Pierce on if he reached out to Jayson Tatum at all since his return “This will be my first time today, seeing him saying something to him. So, you know the thing about, I know about guys when they get in a situation Jayson was in, you know, I had to be, I had a chance to be around Kevin [Garnett] when he was going through his injury and stuff. Sometimes you want to give people some space. I did. I reached out to him one time, I think, via text throughout the process. But, you know, I think it's a moment to where you want to put yourself in a place, to where you're isolated and you want to grind, you want to work to get back where you need to go. And I'm sure everybody was showing support, but I showed my support from far, and he knows I'm always there for him if he ever needed anything.”

🐰 i always had this in my heart and during promotions, i talked to you a lot. but it's my first time saying this in person to ARMYs. simply put, after releasing 'golden', and having you here with me so i can sing for you makes me so happy. if it weren't for you, i wouldn't have been able to come here or release my album. what do you think i would've been like if it weren't for you? what would i be doing? i can't imagine it. i would've been good at everything? no no, i'm not that incredible. but after i met you, i could become an incredible person. it's all thanks to you. i'm always thankful and i love you. i always tell you this, but thank you always. [armys chanting 'thank you'] 🐰 i'm more thankful. i always say that. i exist because of you. i would not be here if it weren't for you. so i always live with gratitude toward you.

Marshawn Lynch says he asked for Russell Wilson's phone number, but Russ called him from a blocked number “I had a situation. We were playing against Tennessee, and their secondary wasn't good. We were supposed to throw the ball for 500 yards or some shit like that. Russ didn't have the game that he wanted. After the game, I did pretty good, 2 tugs, 150 rushing, another 50 receiving” “I reached out to our player personnel dude and was like, ‘Hey man, let me get Russ' number. He said, Alright, I'll call you back.’ He called me back like, ‘Did you get a call?’ I'm like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘Russ just said he called you.’ I'm like, ‘No, I got a call from a blocked number.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that's him.’ I don't know if he blocked it or how it worked. I just know I got a call from a blocked number” “So when I call back, I'm just like, ‘Hey bro, I'm calling you as a teammate. I'm telling you straight up, I'm calling you on some real shit.’ I think this was the first time that I actually tried to have a conversation with bro. ‘I know you didn't have the game that you wanted to have. That's what I'm here for. We got to be there for each other. I'm here for you. You here for me’” “His response to me was kind of like, ‘What the fuck...’ So I told him again, ‘No bro, I'm letting you know, I'm here for you. We gonna rock, you know what I mean.’ His response was the same. I mean, we on the same team, going for the same goal, and this was how you chose to respond to me”
