Brian @WindhorstESPN : "NBA media ‘not in a great place’ because ‘we’re devaluing things that help build the league up’. People too focused on tweets, too focused on guys getting crossed-over, guys getting dunked on, guys getting embarrassed, social media posts. Not as much on storytelling, learning about players & learning their backgrounds, what I call chronicling the season.”

🫡 Respect ✊

People loved Jordan. Loved Kobe. Loved Magic. Loved Shaq. Duncan. Etc Maybe it is the personality of the person and not just their on court performance that dictates love vs talking s—-. But LeBron wouldn’t know about that would he 😂

You can bet Stephen A. will be discussing this tomorrow and will likely have some criticism. That's just what I'd expect from him.

Inside the NBA has done a lot for entertainment purposes. But I’m not sure they even watch the games anymore. They seem super casual. Can we get people on TV actually talking about the best parts of our game. Hockey doesn’t do well in ratings. But their analysts never talk bad

Of course, Stephen A will have a topic on this tomorrow and have something negative to say. I'd be shocked if he didn't.

Old heads NBA media is the cancer to the culture.

Fax can’t expect young guys to volunteer themselves to get slandered daily by old heads who constantly voice their distaste for the nba. Only the nba has coverage like that

He didn’t ask for it he said😂😂 we need to put a disclaimer on this guy’s interviews

@stephenasmith making a killing off trashing players…especially the ones of color. 🤡

He’s never been able to take the criticism; only the praise. Kobe was called a r-pist. Jordan was accused of Gambling his father’s death into fruition. Magic had HIV. Bron can’t handle ppl not accepting his teaming up. Poor LeBron.

And that is why ppl have a hard time liking Lebron- he’s the absolute weakest/soft superstar the league has ever had. Such a good player but his ego is giant yet made of glass. Pretty sure Steph Curry gets the old school star treatment- Lebron could too if he didn’t whine daily.

@stephenasmith Knows good and D well many media colleagues have ascended based on daily criticism and downing the greats of this era. Own it‼️ everyone just had a 5sec clutch stat on Bron being 1-29, when did 5 sec become the gauge. Players have seen these shows…

The sport should be the fave of the league. This is a basketball country. Gyms are loaded with people playing everyday. We don't need a face

I’ve stop watching any sports show’s because of Skip and Smith. It’s been years since I have. It’s unbearable. Unfortunately that is what is selling in today’s world.

The face of the league wouldn’t care about critics!🤷🏾♂️

This guy is the most entitled cry baby loser, this is why the NBA sucks more than the Sarlacc pit digesting Jabba’s skiff crew in Return of the Jedi.

Lebron literally has 18 reporters that do the exact opposite for him personally and throw him cupcakes and softballs over and over and aren’t allowed to be negative. Dave might know a guy …

it is something really odd going on with the media and former players. Funny how the only predominantly black sport gets treated like its the cokehead 80s era. U have 3 guys in Bron, KD, and Steph who never have any off the court issues but the ALL the faces in the past did. 🤷♂️

Need Chuck to rip into him next week! “Ernie, I got something I need to get off my chest!!”

Do you think LeBron’s comments will change how young stars approach being the ‘face of the league’?

Based on his age and resume..Jayson Tatum should be the face of the nba. Clean cut dude who has 0 issues off the court. Great dad and has a pretty singer girlfriend. Comes from good parents and plays in a huge market. Just my opinion

Sure. But it also made you a billionaire being the face.

Pretty much. Who wants to take a position to where half of the price for admission is getting slandered every day for not being some nigga from over 30 years ago.

says the man with more personal allies in the media who do his bidding on a regular basis

So, Channing Frye was basically speaking for LeBron, got it. People been talked about forever. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. These boys are soft.

What a moron. Nothing like insulting the reporters to their face. Today’s athlete is so thin skinned. This guy’s a billionaire who’s treated like the second coming and yet he has the nerve to complain about some negative comments. Go cry me a river.

A lot of you mfs can’t read or listen right… he’s not talking about him being the face of the NBA he’s talking about in general who would want to be the face of the NBA when all they do is shit on you weather you do good or bad..

Charles Barkley

Bron has done an incredible job at being the face. Being dominant for over 20 years because no one else has the chops to take over is the issue. The NBA’s issue with it being a foreign player is also problematic

He is apart of the problem
Spoken so poetically by one of the people responsible for this soft Ass generation "Bravo"

Soft mentality. Whatever happened to “I wanna be the best”

But how does this affect lebrons legacy??
