Times Square - New York City 🇺🇸 The origin of this place was known as Long Acre Square, but it was renamed Times Square after being located in 1904, at the intersection of 42nd Street, the offices of the New York Times. In 1913, the newspaper’s offices moved to 229 43rd Street, and the building was renamed 1 Times Square in 1961. History of Times Square, at the beginning of the 20th century, Times Square became one of the most important places in New York City, with the construction of theaters, restaurants and luxury and first class hotels. The site began to change in the 30’s where it became a dangerous place with prostitution, crime and drugs, this lasted for more than half a century. History of Times Square During the 1980s, Mayors Ed Koch and David Dinkins began a redevelopment project for Midtown Manhattan that included Times Square. In the 1990s, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani tackled the project to clean up the area with the closure of pornographic theaters, sex shops and the purchase of the nine historic theaters on 42nd Street by the State of New York. Times Square is located between 7th Avenue and Broadway, and 42nd and 47th streets, it is currently the heart of the city in general and of the New York theater district in particular. The entire area is illuminated day and night by large illuminated signs and huge television screens, this has made it famous throughout the world, as well as the descent of the Crystal ball every December 31 from the top of 1 Times Square announcing the new Year. Up to two million people flocked to Times Square to ring in the year 2000 with the lowering of Waterford’s Millennial Crystal Ball, a huge Swarovski crystal ball made specifically for this event. The north end of the square, between 46th and 47th Streets, is known as Duffy Square in honor of Father Francis P. Duffy, chaplain of the New York Regiment of Infantry during World War II. Half-price same-day Broadway show tickets are available at the TKTS Box Office, located in the center of Duffy Square. The ticket offices, renovated in 2008, are covered on its roof with wide steps in the form of a staircase that allow visitors to sit or enjoy a panoramic view. On May 25, 2009, the city council temporarily closed the section of Broadway that runs through Times Square to pedestrian traffic. The experiment was a great success and it has become a permanent pedestrian plaza where the place is more enjoyable with new metal benches, chairs and tables. Times Square has its own police station, its street cleaning company, and its tourist office that has all the information about the city, and it is also a small museum dedicated to this important square. America Is Closed: The Tourists Are Going Elsewhere! While America turns visitors away, the rest of the world is having the time of its life. Europe recorded 793 million international tourists in 2025, up 6 percent on pre-pandemic levels. France alone welcomed 102 million visitors, generating a record 77.5 billion euros in tourism revenue. The tourists are out there. They have money to spend and planes to board. They are simply choosing not to spend it in America. International arrivals to the United States fell for the ninth consecutive month in January 2026, down 4.2 percent year-on-year. Global tourism spending grew by 6.7 percent in the same period. The world is traveling more than ever. It is simply choosing not to travel to America. The Canadian Collapse Canadians, historically the single largest source of foreign visitors to the United States, have stopped coming. Road trips across the border fell 30 percent in the most recent month. Air travel from Canada is down 24 percent. Airlines cut 450,000 Canada-US seats in the first quarter of 2026 alone. The projected damage from the Canadian boycott stands at 5.7 billion dollars. “In my 37 years in the travel industry, I have never seen anything like what the Canadians have pulled off,” said Amir Eylon of Longwoods International. “This is one that’s being felt, and it’s not going away quickly.” The cause is not mysterious. Trump floated annexing Canada as the 51st state while slapping punishing tariffs on Canadian exports. Something snapped. Sixty-two percent of Canadians now say US policies have made them less likely to visit. Snowbirds are canceling Florida. Some are selling their American vacation homes. Toronto-Cancun is now Mexico’s busiest international air route. Europe and Asia Turn Away Germany, France, and the United Kingdom have each updated their official travel advisories for the United States. German visits fell 11.6 percent in 2025. France lost around 950,000 visitors. One European tour operator summed it up: “Five years ago, the United States was the go-to destination. Now, many of our clients are choosing destinations that are easier and more welcoming.” China and India, the two great growth engines of global outbound tourism, both recorded steep declines in US visits. India’s drop of 15 percent in mid-2025 was the first since the early 2000s. They are simply choosing destinations where entry does not feel like an interrogation. Chinese arrivals to Europe are projected to grow 28 percent. Indian arrivals, 9 percent. What Has Actually Happened The United States did not lose its beaches or its national parks. What it lost was its reputation as a country that wants you to come. A travel ban covering 19 countries, biometric requirements on all non-citizens, widespread detention reports, and a proposed rule requiring Visa Waiver travelers to submit five years of social media history: these are the choices that produced this outcome. The World Travel and Tourism Council estimates that social media rule alone could cost 15.7 billion dollars and 150,000 American jobs. New York City lost 4 billion dollars in tourism revenue in 2025. Nevada’s hotel industry recorded a 6.7 billion dollar shortfall. The 2026 FIFA World Cup was supposed to be the redemption arc. It isn’t. Five countries have issued travel advisories warning citizens about attending games on American soil. Hotel bookings in host cities are running behind projections. The tourists are not gone. 4th Kōkūtai Mitsubishi G4M1 "Betty" missing its port engine falls into the sea just short of USS Lexington on February 20th 1942 during the action off Bougainville This was a naval and air engagement in the South Pacific Theater of World War II near Bougainville, Papua New Guinea where a United States Navy aircraft carrier task force centered around USS Lexington on its way to raid the Imperial Japanese military base at Rabaul was attacked by a force of land-based bombers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. In the ensuing engagement, the Japanese air group lost 15 of 17 bombers sent to attack the American carrier group. The United States lost only two fighters in defense, and no ships were damaged. As a result of the loss of surprise, however, the Americans retired without raiding Rabaul as originally planned. The aircraft visible in the clip is a G4M1 of 4th Kōkūtai's 1st Chûtai commanded by Lieutenant Commander Takuzo Ito, the group's commanding officer. Together with seven other "Betties" his formation was attacked by two Wildcats, flown by Lieutenant Edward "Butch" O'Hare and Lieutenant (junior grade) Marion Dufilho. During the first pass, Dufilho's guns jammed, leaving O'Hare to attack the bombers alone. O'Hare employed a high-side diving attack from the right side of the formation, accurately placing bursts of gunfire into the outside "Betty"'s right engine and wing fuel tanks. When the stricken craft, commanded by Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryosuke Kogiku (3rd Shotai), lurched to starboard, O'Hare switched to the next plane up the line, that of Petty Officer 1st Class Koji Maeda (3rd Shotai leader). Maeda's plane caught fire, but his crew managed to put out the flames with "one single spurt of liquid...from the fire-extinguisher." Neither Maeda or Kogiku had sustained fatal damage, and would catch up with the group before bomb release. With two "Bettys" knocked out of formation, albeit temporarily, O'Hare initiated another firing pass, this time from the left side. His first target was the outside plane, flown by Petty Officer 1st Class Bin Mori (2nd Shotai). Aiming across to the far side of Mori's bomber, O'Hare's bullets damaged the right engine and left fuel tank, forcing Mori to dump his bombs and abort his mission. With Mori out of combat, O'Hare next targeted Ito's senior wingman, Petty Officer 1st Class Susumu Uchiyama (1st Shotai), whose plane did not recover from its dive. Having shot up four bombers, O'Hare returned to the left side for a third firing pass. By now, Ito was nearing the bomb release point, which left very little time to take action. Recently did an interview with the lead developer of Knight's Path on the title's future release and the state of the industry. The Western AAA gaming industry has shifted its focus away from its core audience, favoring products for smaller, less engaged demographics. This shift has led to a noticeable disconnect between large publishers and their traditional fan base. This has, however, created an environment for indies to thrive. They can prioritize authenticity and community, crafting games that resonate with their players and that is exactly the case with Knight's Path. In December of 2023, Knights Path: The Tournament was released to Very Positive reviews on Steam. It is a short medieval RPG featuring challenging combat, an immersive progression system, and a nice little story. It served as an announcement, a combat concept demo, and a teaser for the forthcoming open-world RPG Knight's Path, which is currently in active development. I asked what their plans were regarding the scope of the full release. While you might get the impression that Knight's Path is an arena fighting game, that’s not the case with the full release. "Knight's Path will be a proper open-world, story-driven RPG. Of course, as a small indie team, we’re keeping the scope modest. The open world will be compact but dense, featuring one town, one village, castle ruins, forests, valleys, and other areas to explore." Many gamers would agree it is better to have a limited number of fully fleshed-out areas than to present a gigantic, empty world. This has been a major criticism levied towards recent releases like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and even modern Assassins Creed, which tends to rely on repetitive gameplay loops scattered across an overly large map, which can feel more like busywork than meaningful exploration. I have always believed that quality over quantity is the best way to go. The team has also made this a priority with things such as the story and weapon types. "We plan to include three main weapon types: longsword, sword and shield, and bows. These will feature the full progression system seen in the demo, with skill levels such as Novice, Adept, Expert, and Master. Players will need to learn individual skills from different trainers to progress. In addition, we’re introducing secondary weapons like spears, halberds, and other polearms. These won’t have RPG-style progression but will still offer variety in combat." Regarding the story, they plan to be bold and strive to create a 16-28 hour-long main campaign. "The story will be divided into four chapters, with each chapter offering around 4–7 hours of gameplay. As in the demo, the player character begins as a nobody, slowly learning how to wield a sword and eventually becoming a knight. However, the progression will be much more realistic than in the demo, where the peasant hilariously transformed into a champion in just four days." This is a far cry from many games that are released nowadays. In just 2024 alone at a glance, the AA release Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn provided an average of 8 hours of content, Princess Peach: Showtime at 10 hours, Silent Hill 2 Remake at 15, and even the GOTY winner Astrobot holds an average playtime of 10 hours. A major issue within the industry is the way we are treated by the people who only have jobs because of our favorite hobby. In 2024 the gaming industry is forecasted to generate $208.7 BILLION dollars, up from 5.4% in 2023. Compare that to Hollywood, which is a measly $12.3 billion. The gaming industry employs 727,000 individuals in the United States alone. So, you'd think these people would have a little bit of respect for gamers, though so many who are vocal on social media show nothing but contempt for us. Perhaps this is because of fear if they do not show loyalty to a cause or "fit in" that they may not secure funding or genuinely believe in what they preach, but the team behind Knight's Path isn't worried about that. "We are independent developers, and we plan to stay independent so we can stay true to our vision. Knight's Path is a game made by gamers for gamers. We’re prioritizing fun gameplay above all, and we firmly believe this is exactly what gamers want." I also raised some questions about their big plans moving forward. In the demo, one of the major criticisms I had was with the voice acting. I had guessed it was done via AI, which was confirmed. "You guessed correctly– the voice acting in the demo was done by AI, and it was probably the loudest critique we received, and we totally understand why! Back then, we didn’t have much of a choice, but for the full game, we don’t plan to use any AI voices. Luckily, after the demo release, many voice actors reached out to us, volunteering to lend their voices to the full game. We absolutely plan to answer their call and give them that opportunity." AI can be a useful tool, especially for developers starting out who can't commit a lot of money to voice acting or just want to see a version of the product that's closer to what they envision the full release to be, but going from that to real voice actors will bump the experience to the next level. I myself played the demo in its entirety and really enjoyed my time with it! I thought the game was reminiscent of Gothic 2 and even The Witcher. I was happily surprised when I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches and while some areas have not been fleshed out like the voice acting, I would recommend putting the game on your wishlist to see what this team does in the future when they finally deliver their updated demo and the eventual full release of the game.

Khamenei — the Supreme Leader, the king — was killed. Iran declared 40 days of mourning. Ali Shamkhani, former head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and several other senior Iranian officials were also killed. The king AND the princes. Both. Exactly as Jeremiah said. Haman 2.0 built its gallows. And it stood on them!! 🏹The bow is being broken during the red blood moon on Purim. The king is dead. The princes are dead. Iran’s nuclear advancement and ballistic missile capabilities have been severely diminished, and its proxy support networks are being weakened as we speak. 💡But here is what we need to understand right now: Jeremiah 49 is not the destination. It is the runway. The destination is Ezekiel 38. And the players are already moving into position. WHERE DOES PERSIA RE-ENTER PROPHECY AFTER JEREMIAH? TURKEY — MESHECH AND TUBAL 👉🏼Ezekiel 38 names Meshech, Tubal, and Togarmah — ancient territories corresponding to modern Turkey. And right now Turkey is publicly aligning with Russia against Israel, positioning itself as the voice of the Muslim world, and growing in regional influence as Iran collapses. Turkey's Erdoğan condemned the conflict, saying Ankara was making intense diplomatic efforts to resolve it. The Ezekiel 38 coalition that comes to attack Israel is looming on the horizon! WHAT EZEKIEL 38 REQUIRES — AND HOW CLOSE WE ARE Ezekiel 38 has specific conditions that must exist before Gog moves, and only Jeremiah 49 makes them possible. Look at how rapidly they are forming: 1️⃣Israel dwelling in false peace 📖 "A peaceful people who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates." Ez 38:11 ☝🏼For the first time in decades, this is becoming conceivable. With Iran and its proxy network weakened, the ring of fire surrounding Israel is breaking. A regional peace framework is assembling. With Iran neutralized, the Abraham Accords will expand, and the conditions for Israel's false peace are forming from the rubble of Iran's defeat. 2️⃣The hook in Russia's jaw Economically, Israel’s gas fields are a major prize. Strategically, Russia is being humbled and losing influence in the region. Ideologically, its alliance with the Muslim world against Israel is under strain. The “hook” is forming this week, creating the anger that could pull Russia into action against Israel. 🪝And here is what makes this week's events even more significant for understanding that hook. Right now Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz. One fifth of the world's oil and a quarter of global LNG flows through that strait. Energy prices are spiking globally today. The world is getting a live preview of what Middle Eastern energy disruption looks like. As the Persian Gulf becomes increasingly unstable and unreliable — Israel's massive Mediterranean gas fields become the most strategically valuable alternative energy prize on earth. That is the economic hook in Russia's jaw. Russia will eventually come for Israel's wealth and resources. Ezekiel 38:12 told us exactly that 2,600 years ago. 3️⃣The coalition from the north 📖 "You will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you." Ez 38:15 ✌🏼Russia and Turkey are already aligned together in opposition to Israel in this conflict — even China if we could include it. The directional and relational skeleton of this coalition is visible right now in this week's news. THE PROPHETIC SEQUENCE — WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE GOING Based on two strong reasons, I place Ezekiel 38 at the beginning of the Tribulation — not before, or in the middle or at the end. 1️⃣The 7 year weapon burning fits perfectly 📖"Those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons… they will burn them for seven years." Ez 39:9 If Ezekiel 38 happens near the beginning of the Tribulation, the 7 year burn period ends right at the Second Coming. The math works perfectly. 2️⃣We know the Tribulation is the period of God’s direct judgment on the world. 👉🏼By that time, the Church is gone and the Holy Spirit’s restraining work through the Church has been removed. God begins dealing with the world directly, supernaturally, and undeniably, forcing every nation on earth to acknowledge that He alone is God. 👉🏼In Ezekiel 38, we see Russia’s coalition destroyed not by human armies, but by God Himself. No enemies intervene. No U.S. military. No Israeli air force. The Lord personally rains down fire and brimstone — a supernatural judgment with no possible human intervention or explanation.
