Woman in in Western Illinois says Can someone please explain to me how families are surviving right now?! Just opened our electric bill for the month: over $400 ($399 just for electric alone!). Mind you, we were gone on vacation for an entire week and turned the thermostat up before we left! And our home is 1200 sq ft. It’s not even about whether we can pay it—it’s the principle of it. How are people doing this? Thinking back to when I was a single mom, a bill like this would have completely ruined me. It’s more than my house payment used to be. Something in our world is seriously broken right now.

No thanks all you big name celebrities. Biden voters are smart enough to know it’s too late to make a change now. Early voting in several key states starts in the third week of September. That’s just over two months away. Do people really think that’s enough time to put together a new winning ticket? Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia and South Dakota all start early voting in late September, with Ohio and Arizona staring in early October. Those states are crucial to winning the electoral college. Another 18 states will have started early voting by mid-October. And some Republicans have said they will block any new Democratic candidate from getting on the ballot in their state. That’s what the anti-Biden pundits aren’t telling you and that why they want him off the ticket, because of that point there’s no time left with ballots soon to be printed and mailed and early voting about to begin. Stick with Biden, there is no other choice. The voters are standing strong with Joe Biden. Let’s do this! #Biden2024

Today I joined Right to Roam and 400 people today in a mass swim trespass at Kinder Reservoir in the Peak District. The event was in commemoration of the anniversary of the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass, but with a very modern & pressing issue of access. How can it be that United Utilities can prevent us from swimming in the rivers & lakes that we are legally allowed to swim in by pouring sewage in them, but then forbid us from swimming in ‘their’ reservoir (which was given to them at privatisation) instead? So, with hundreds of others, I ignored the United Utilities security guard & had a cold but thrilling trespass swim in the sunshine among the rolling green hills of the Peak District, to demand the right to swim.

I’m trying to get this intersection fixed on Market in the Castro in front of Bar 49. I shot this video yesterday while walking to dinner. Anytime of day you can see cars aggressively almost hitting people in the crosswalk. This is because this intersection is so wide that, for one of the right turns on green, you can’t see the pedestrian crosswalk signal at all and you have time to speed up heading towards this crosswalk. Many of these drivers assume you are jaywalking even though you have 20 seconds left to walk. This leads to some frequent aggressive behavior and near misses with pedestrians. The drivers assume this configuration wouldn’t have the crosswalk active at that time - and I agree that it shouldn’t be.

This is an interesting one: 2 rounds of antibiotics given to a patient for a chest infection. Patient still unwell. I wonder how much microbiology and pathology PAs have done in order to pick up what sort of chest infection this may have been in the first place (so to give the right antibiotics if needed) Wonder if this was a bacterial infection in the first place? Intrigued to understand what PA next steps would be? Had the patient seen the GP the second time? Interesting take on educating the public and interesting method by being pretty passive aggressive - unsure if this is the technique to be used. Glad that they are educating on antibiotic resistance though. I wonder how much this is happening causing increased activity, increased wait times and increased activity (unnecessarily)

This model is very good, but I emphasize this is an incredibly tough forecast, and it may be wrong. I find it tends to spin things up too fast, and we are not yet in the GRAF wheelhouse of inside 48 hours. I only post this because it’s 3 days from now and as we go into the weekend I don’t want folks sleeping on this, and I want to be transparent with ya’ll. It’s nothing to be concerned about, just something to be aware off. Right now NHC development chance is at 30%. Otherwise on/ off downpours through the weekend.

This is how fake news is spread: I said yesterday on a TV broadcast that the right of Jews to live and not be murdered in terror attacks prevails over the right of Arabs in Judea and Samaria to travel on the roads without security restrictions.
