It appears #RedBullCheats instructed Max to speed up and overtake the cars ahead, knowing that Lewis was closing in on a flying lap. This is disgusting and unsporting. Batteries will never store enough energy to backup renewables. In Estimates I tried to get a straight answer on just how long the life of a battery is. Needless to say I couldn’t get one. They can currently (in optimal conditions) provide a small amount of energy for 2 to 4 hours. This of course isn’t long enough if the entire grid is to be powered by renewables. Longer term storage has to be provided by pumped hydro which requires the construction of enormous pumping stations powered by wind and solar. As shown by the Snowy Pumped Hydro, pumped hydro is not only ludicrously expensive, it is incredibly destructive to the environment. When pressed on just how much battery technology has improved, Matt Kean couldn’t give a straight answer. The fact is the cost of building enough batteries to back up the energy grid run by renewables is prohibitive and will never work. #auspol

This is actually one of my favorite scenes. Part of the reason is simply that the School Meal Club is adorable, but the really funny moment is when Tzuyu realizes that the battery in her handheld fan has died and suddenly starts acting out a little skit by singing the first verse of "Unnies - Shut up" Tzuyu starts singing, "My battery died, so I couldn't answer the phone" and then, while singing the exact same line again, she steals Dahyun's fan which still has battery left and puts her own dead fan into Dahyun's hand instead. and then Dahyun responds, "Tzuyu, that's actually pretty plausible" Chaeyoung was showing her beauty in the front and there was a skit in the back

A fisherman at Santa Monica Pier hooked what is believed to be a juvenile shark and whatever was on the other end of that line had no interest in losing - the force of it pulled him up and over the railing and straight into the water below. This is exactly why people need to understand that the Pacific Ocean off Southern California is active shark territory right now and has been all summer. You feel that kind of pull on your line the smartest move is to cut it and walk away - no catch is worth going over a pier railing into water where a great white could be circling. Could you have remained calm in this situation? They better move a lot faster next time because the ocean does not give second chances.
