The next day… we had to go to the airport again… and deep down, I prayed we wouldn’t see him there. But he was. 36 hours had passed… and he was still there. Same place. Same sadness. Same empty eyes. No food. No water. Just sitting beside her… What kind of loyalty is this? We called our team immediately. It was Eid… they were on leave… but they left everything and came. Three hours of travel… just for one life. But when they tried to rescue him… he ran away. Because we humans have only taught them pain. We have never shown them that we can love too. We buried his partner there… at least she left this world with dignity. And he… disappeared into the fields… with a broken heart. And one question stayed with me… We call ourselves the most superior of creation… but are we? Or is it him… who refused to leave, even after death? Maybe… we are not who we think we are 💔
